Prison Break has made a massive comeback, soaring to the top of Netflix's charts with a remarkable 111% increase in viewership within a week. Originally launched in 2005 by Fox, the show centers on Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) as he embarks on an audacious quest to break into prison and rescue his brother, Lincoln Burrows (portrayed by Dominic Purcell), who was wrongfully sentenced to death.
The series concluded its narrative in 2009 but returned for a fifth season in 2017, which received mixed feedback. Many fans thought Scofield's story had reached its final chapter.
Despite that, Prison Break has now streamed over 1.6 billion minutes, surpassing popular shows like The Umbrella Academy and House of the Dragon. This resurgence has sparked new excitement and revived hopes for a possible sixth season.
