Hindi normal ang pananakit sa bata.
Hindi “disiplina” ang pananakit.
At lalong hindi dapat sinisipa ang batang umiiyak para lang sa baluktok mong dahilan!!!

Kamakailan, umugong online ang viral incidents ng pananakit at pang-aabuso sa isang musmos na bata—may mga video nito ng pambubugbog, pagmumura, at pananakit ng guardian o tomboy na partner ng isang single mom na ina ng bata.

Napa-ulat narin ito sa Main Stream media.

Ang masakit dito, hindi lang ito nag-iisang kaso sa buong bansa: karamihan sa mga batang naaabuso, sa sariling tahanan pa mismo ang pinanggagalingan ng kanilang trauma.

Bilang lipunan, may choice tayo:
MANAHIMIK O MANINDIGAN.

Sa Bible, malinaw ang tingin ng Diyos sa mga bata. Hindi sila abala. Hindi sila aksidente. Hindi sila burden.

Siya mismo ang nagsabi:

“Children are a gift from the Lord.” — Psalm 127:3

At sinabi rin ni Jesus:

“Let the little children come to Me.” — Matthew 19:14

Alam mo ba na ang pagiging magulang ay hindi tungkol sa ownership? Oo, dahil, STEWARDSHIP ito.

Sa dinami-dami ng nagdadasal na magka-anak, bakit ikaw ang pinagkatiwaalan ng Dios magka-anak?

Ibig sabihin, ipinagkatiwala lang ng Diyos ang mga bata para mahalin, protektahan, gabayan, at palakihin nang may takot sa Panginoon.

Ang totoong godly parenting:
✅ hindi nananakit para maglabas ng galit,
✅ hindi nanghihiya,
✅ hindi gumagamit ng takot para sumunod ang bata, at
✅ hindi binabasag ang isip at puso ng isang inosente.

Ayun sa pag-aaral, ang batang lumalaki sa abuso, madalas dala niya ang sugat hanggang pagtanda. Nag-uugat din dito ang maraming liabilities meron ang lipunan.

Kaya kapag may nakita kang pang-aabuso: Huwag mong i-scroll lang. Huwag mong sabihing “problema nila yan.” At huwag mong hintaying maging viral bago magsalita.

Protecting children is everyone’s responsibility.

Kapag nanahimik tayo, mas lumalakas at dumadami ang pang-aabusado.

Kapag nagsalita tayo, may batang pwedeng mailigtas.

Sarap mag morning devotion dito! 🤩

During our stay at Canopy Farm PH, our 11 year old daughter led our morning devotion. She shared her recent Bible Reading from the Book of Luke. What happened next was something we didn't expect.

Luke 12:4-7 (ESV)
⁴“I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. ⁵But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! ⁶Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Sabi nya, "ayun pala yun, Mom, Dad... Isa lang pala dapat talaga katakutan natin — si God."

Nung araw na to, may isa kaming kaibigan na nam4t4y due to heart failure. Tumaon pa sa mismong araw na nag quick getaway kami. Kaya, di ko naiwasang maikonek ito sa devotion namin. Karamihan sa atin, hinaharap ang takot sa kamatayan. At habang iniisip-isip ko ito — our birthday celebrant (our mommy) said...

"Alam kasi ni God, pagsilang natin dito sa mundo, madami na tayong kakatakutan. Kaya, nung dumating si Jesus, tinuro nya satin kung sino lang ang dapat nating katakutan."

True. Isa sa mga yun ay ang maraming uri ng sakit at karamdaman. Na, sa totoo lang di naman talaga natin yan mapipigilan. Darating at darating ang marami sa'tin sa terminal illnesses.

Pero, in the middle of our conversation, bigla kami natuon kay Kuya Klint. Sabi ko, "ikaw ba Kuya, natatakot ka pa ba sa kamatayan?" Sagot nya, "Pag naiisip ko kasi yung rapture na mangyayare na bukas, parang yaw ko pa." "Huh?!? Bakit naman?" Sabi ng mommy nya. "E di ba, dapat yun nga ang mag excites satin, kasi yun ang ultimate hope natin kay Jesus... Bakit ayaw mo?" Tanong pa ng mommy nya sa kanya. "Eh, kasi gusto ko pa magkaroon ng magandang trabaho. Tsaka gusto ko pa mag-asawa." 🥹

Nagkatinginan kaming mag-asawa...
We processed the words we just heard. 🤔

Tapos, ayun! Bumulhak na kami ng tawa. 🤣

Then, bigla nalang may slight sadness sa muka ni Cath. "Nagtanong pa kasi ako ehh... Nasaktang lang tuloy ako..." 🥹

Yes. We had an intimate conversation as a family. We enjoyed the place, the ambiance, and the word of God. Though it's a warning of whom to fear, but it brings comfort to those who really know they are on the side of that powerful being who has the power to k*ll the body and has authority to cast soul into hell."

Pinaghahandaan natin ng lubos ang buhay at kinabukasan natin dito sa lupa na temporal. Pero, paano natin pinaghahandaan ang ikalawang buhay na pang walang hanggan?

Handa ka na ba harapin ang kamatayan, kung bukas o mamaya andyan na sya?

LET's FACE IT. 🥺 Christianity might have sc4mmed you or someone might have lied to you about the "Born Again" faith thing.

Let me explain...

If someone promised you good fortune, good life, and a bed of roses if you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then they are hiding (or maybe they didn't know this too) the truth about the cost of following Jesus.

Ito ang isa sa malaking crisis na kinahaharap ng isang bagong mananampalataya. I'm speaking based on experience. Rason, bakit andami ang basta nalang tumatalikod at sinusukuan ang tinanggap na pananampalataya ng ganun-ganun nalang. Kasi nga, sa simula palang, mali ang na-set na expectation.

Oo nga naman. Bakit ka papasok sa isang arrangement na "SUFFERINGS" ang ipinapangakong kapalit ng pagsunod at pagtanggap mo? Sir4ulo nga lang talaga ang papasok sa ganung setup. 😅

But here's the truth, like Saul, the orientation he received from Jesus through Ananias para sa bagong employment job nya is setting his proper expectations — he will suffer for the sake of Jesus Christ.

If Jesus is calling you right now to follow him, are you still gonna follow and obey Him if healing, comfort, prosperity, luxury, and/or abundance is not part of the offer?
