๐€๐ƒ๐•๐ˆ๐’๐Ž๐‘๐˜ | CONTINUOUS RAINS EXPECTED IN TANZA AS HABAGAT PERSISTS

TANZA, Cavite โ€” Residents of Tanza are expected to continue experiencing cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rain showers as the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect Cavite, based on PAGASA-DOST Weather Advisory No. 11, issued at 11:00 a.m. on August 4, 2026.

According to PAGASA, Cavite may receive 50 to 100 millimeters of rainfall from August 4 until noon of August 5. The weather bureau warned that persistent rains may trigger flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas, while elevated areas may also face the risk of rain-induced landslides.

Local authorities continue to remind residents to remain vigilant, monitor official weather updates, and follow safety advisories as weather conditions may change throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Tanza has also announced the suspension of classes due to the prevailing weather conditions.

๐‚๐€๐Œ๐๐”๐’ ๐๐„๐–๐’ | CvSU Tanza Kicks Off Student Orientation for A.Y. 2026โ€“2027

Hundreds of incoming freshmen, transferees, together with their parents and guardians, gathered at the Tanza Convention Center as Cavite State University โ€“ Tanza Campus officially commenced its Student Orientation for Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 on August 3.

The program opened with student registration, followed by the welcome remarks of Campus Administrator Dr. Mildred Sebastian, who encouraged the new students to uphold the University's core values of Truth, Excellence, and Service throughout their academic journey.

The orientation also introduced the University's key campus officials, discussed essential academic policies, student services, campus regulations, and the student code of conduct to help students transition into college life.

Adding color to the event were energetic performances by the Tanza Wolves, led by TTOPS, showcasing the vibrant spirit of the campus. The program concluded with the introduction of recognized student organizations, encouraging students to actively participate in leadership, service, and extracurricular activities.

As the new academic year begins, the Student Orientation served as a meaningful first step in welcoming the newest members of the CvSU Tanza community and preparing them for a productive and successful college journey.
