🌾 From Fear to Faith: Gideon's Journey with God (Judges 6:13, 16; Judges 7:15)

This morning’s devotion reminded me that God often chooses the unlikely, the unsure, and even the fearful to accomplish great things for His glory.

Gideon didn’t start off as a mighty warrior—he was a man hiding in a winepress, full of doubts and questions. His first reaction to the angel’s greeting wasn’t excitement but a frustrated, “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?” (Judges 6:13). Gideon felt abandoned, small, and incapable—just like many of us do in difficult seasons.

But God's response wasn't to scold him. Instead, He gave Gideon a promise:
“I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites” (Judges 6:16).
It wasn’t about Gideon’s strength. It was about God’s presence.

That one truth—“I will be with you”—became the anchor for Gideon’s faith. And slowly, despite his fears and failures, Gideon stepped forward. By the time we reach Judges 7:15, we hear a different man: “Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.”

From “I can’t” to “Get up!”—what changed wasn’t Gideon’s circumstances, but his confidence in God's power and presence.

💡 Reflection:
Are there areas in your life where you’re saying, “I can’t”? God often calls us beyond our comfort zone, not because we’re able, but because He is.

👣 Whatever you're facing today—whether it’s fear, inadequacy, or doubt—remind yourself of God's words: “I will be with you.” Step out, like Gideon, in faith. God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies the called.

Good morning! 🌞

Being a parent is hard.
Working is hard.
Working from home while raising a child? That’s a whole new level.

But what makes it possible — and worth it — is having someone who truly has your back.

You’ll have days when the house is a mess, the deadlines won’t wait, and your energy is drained.
You’ll question yourself, your decisions, your direction.
You’ll work while your kid naps, then parent while your brain begs for rest.
You’ll feel guilty for working… and guilty for not working.

But when you have a partner who supports your dreams, picks up where you leave off, and reminds you that you’re doing enough — that changes everything.

Life doesn’t get easier.
But having someone beside you makes every hard a little lighter.

Me and my husband have full time remote works, with 3 kids under 4 yrs old, no helper. We make it work together and by God's grace alone 💝🙏🏻

Some days just hit you all at once, work piling up, the kids needing you, dinner still not made, and that to-do list that never ends. It’s messy. It’s overwhelming. Sometimes you wonder how you’re even still standing.

But you know what? Together, we make it work.

Not because anyone’s perfect or has a magic plan, far from it. We make mistakes, we get tired, and some days feel like chaos. But we lean on each other. We pick each other up. We remind each other that we’re in this together, even when it feels like everything’s falling apart.

It’s the little things that keep us going, the shared laughs, the quiet moments of understanding, the simple “I got you” from someone who really gets it.

This isn’t some perfect story. It’s real life. And that’s exactly why it matters.

Together, we’ve got this. Always. 💛

This passage reminds us that hardships are not meaningless—they shape us, build our endurance, refine our character, and strengthen our hope. And this hope is unshakable because it is rooted in God's love, which is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

It's a powerful encouragement to trust in God during difficult times, knowing He is using every challenge to grow and refine us. 💛

How We Met

Toni and Rose were both faithfully serving their Lord Jesus Christ when they crossed paths at their local church – Base Christian Fellowship (BCF). Rose serves as a singer-worship leader and is the church’ Music Director. On the other hand, Toni’s intent to join as a guitarist for the worship team paved the way for him and Rose to talk and get to know each other’s depth, knowledge, and passion for music and worship. Clueless they were to how that chat was the start of something even beyond ministry.
