READ | OCD to Lead Joint Information Center for Coordinated Crisis Response

Under the directive of Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., a new Joint Information Center will be established starting November 9, 2025, to enhance coordination and communication during critical situations. The JIC will bring together key agencies including the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito R. Alejandro IV of the OCD will lead the initiative to ensure unified and efficient public information management during emergencies.

| The Disaster Response Team (DRT) of the 17th Infantry Battalion, together with Barangay officials conducted a rescue and evacuation operation in Zones 1, 2, 6, and 7 of Brgy. Aridaowen, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan.

Civilians and families were safely transported to Aridaowen Elementary School as a precautionary measure amid ongoing typhoon threats.
