Cats are natural predators, but they’re also prey in the wild. Their sleep helps them conserve energy for short bursts of activity like hunting, climbing, and playing. Even when they appear to be sleeping, they’re often in a light “cat nap” and can wake up instantly if they hear an unusual sound.

So if your cat spends most of the day snoozing, it’s usually perfectly normal. As long as they’re active, eating well, and behaving normally when awake, all those naps are simply part of being a healthy cat. 😺💙
