𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Newest Attraction In Benguet
𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Mount Camisong Forest Park and Events, located in Barangay Loacan, Itogon, Benguet, hosted its soft opening earlier today, unveiling a new ecotourism destination set to officially open on February 1, 2025. This forest park offers a unique mountain tourism experience with a strong commitment to sustainability and conservation.
Among its standout features is the “𝘼𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙖𝙥” View Deck, where visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Benguet’s lush mountains and pine forests. The “𝘿𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙗” Amphitheater serves as a venue for performances by local and visiting talents. Other developments, including the Garden Park, Children’s Park, and forest trails like the “𝘼𝙡𝙥𝙖𝙨” Mountain Bike Trail, are expected to be completed this year.
Staying true to its sustainability mission, Mount Camisong bans single-use plastics, promotes reusable alternatives and implements eco-friendly practices such as composting and rainwater collection.
The soft opening was led by Chairman Ms. Ludette Querubin and President Mr. Oliver Samala, alongside distinguished guests, including DOT-CAR Regional Director Jovi Ganongan, DENR EMB-CAR Regional Director Engr. Jean Borromeo, Itogon Mayor Bernard Waclin, and other officials from Benguet.
The program featured lively entertainment and a sumptuous lunch prepared by resident chef Stanley Suva, showcasing dishes inspired by local and indigenous cuisine.
Mount Camisong Forest Park and Events is located in Loacan, Itogon, Benguet, just 16.5 kilometers from Baguio City.
