O God,
I find myself at the beginning of another day.
I do not know what it will bring.
Please help me to be ready for whatever it may be.

If I am to stand up, help me to stand bravely.
If I am to sit still, help me to sit quietly.
If I am to lie low, help me to do it patiently.
If I am to do nothing, let me do it gallantly.

I pray just for today, for these twenty-four hours,
for the ability to cooperate with others according to the way Jesus taught us to live.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."
May these words that he taught us become more than words.

Please free my thinking and feelings and the thinking and feelings of others,
from all forms of self-will, self-centeredness, dishonesty, and deception.
Along with my brothers and sisters,
I need this freedom to make my choices today according to your desires.
Send your Spirit to inspire me in time of doubt and indecision so that, together, we can walk along your path.

Monday Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father,

As we step into this new week, we bring our hearts to You, surrendering all our worries, plans, and to-do lists. We know that apart from You, we can do nothing.

So we ask for Your wisdom to guide our decisions, Your strength to carry us through challenges, and Your peace to guard our hearts when things get tough.

Lord, help us to work not for human praise, but as if working for You in everything we do (Colossians 3:23). May our actions reflect Your love and truth, whether we’re at the office, at home, or wherever this week takes us.

Let us shine Your light, so that through our lives, others may see Your goodness.

We ask for protection over our minds and bodies as we step into our responsibilities. Keep us focused on what truly matters—our relationship with You and how we love those around us.

And when we feel overwhelmed, remind us that Your grace is sufficient for us, for Your power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Lord, we entrust this week into Your hands. Be with us, go before us, and walk beside us. May we walk in faith and confidence, knowing You are in control. Thank You for being our ever-present help.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We know that no evil comes from you, and so we call out to you as we pray for those affected by recent earthquakes in Myanmar and Thailand. We ask that you draw close to those who are injured and grant them healing.
