Looking at this new brand identity, I am just filled with so much gratitude. This year, I officially entered my 12th year as an independent contractor and AI-Powered General Virtual Assistant, and it feels like such a significant milestone to celebrate. I even decided to embrace a fresh, short hair style to match this new season of rebranding…it feels light, modern, and exactly how I want to step into this next chapter!
As part of this rebranding, I am also shifting from "LadyBossGVA" to my new brand, “TheGVAMaven.” While being a "LadyBoss" was a wonderful season of growth, becoming a "Maven" represents my commitment to deep expertise, AI innovation, and passing on what I’ve learned to the next generation of virtual assistants.
Reaching over a decade while serving the same premium client is rare in this industry, but it has taught me so much about the power of a heart-led, excellence-driven partnership. My journey has always been anchored in Colossians 3:23, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." In the fast-paced world of SEM and real estate marketing, this is my guiding principle. When we work "as unto the Lord," excellence isn't just a goal, it becomes our standard. It’s what transforms a service into a partnership and a simple task into a lasting testimony.
Choosing the independent path has been such a gift for my family and my ministry. It has given me the freedom to blend my technical expertise with the latest AI tools to deliver real results, all while keeping a "God-first" schedule. I’ve been able to be a present most of our church events, without having to sacrifice my professional growth.
To my fellow VAs and VA DreamBuilders' trainees who often ask how to stay indispensable, my biggest secret is simply to never stop evolving. Moving from basic admin tasks to AI-powered strategy is what kept me ahead of the curve. You must treat your client's vision with the same care you’d treat your own business, finding precision in the details that others might overlook. If you don't adapt, you fade…but if you stay curious and committed, you become a partner they can’t imagine doing business without.
I would love to hear from you today! Whether you are just starting out or you’ve been in the industry for years, what is a career milestone you are celebrating lately? Let’s cheer each other on in the comments! 👇
