Lubos na nagpapasalamat ang O’Donnell High School campus journalists kay SK Benedict Meniolas sa kanyang pamamahagi ng papel at ballpen. Malaking tulong ang mga kagamitang ito sa kanilang pag-eensayo at sa iba’t ibang aktibidad sa larangan ng pamamahayag.

Ang suportang ibinigay ni SK Meniolas ay makatutulong nang malaki sa paghahanda ng mga kabataang mamamahayag para sa kanilang kompetisyon sa darating na Martes at Miyerkules.

Ngayong araw, ipinagdiriwang natin ang dedikasyon ng ating mga g**o, ang kanilang mga sakripisyo, at ang walang kapantay na pagmamahal nila sa pagtuturo. Sila ang patuloy na gumagabay at sumusuporta sa atin nang walang pag-aalinlangan.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong pagdamay, sa pagtuturo sa amin, sa pag-unawa sa aming damdamin, at sa pagtulong na maihanda kami para sa kinabukasan.

Para sa lahat ng g**o ng OSHS at OHS, maraming salamat po sa palaging pagdamay at pagsama sa amin sa bawat hakbang ng aming paglalakbay. Habambuhay naming dadalhin ang mga payo ninyo sa buhay at ang mga aral na itinuro ninyo sa amin. We are who we are today because of you.

✨📰 𝗢𝗛𝗦 𝗞𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗦𝗕𝗣𝗖 '𝟮𝟱!

O’Donnell High School (OHS) conducted the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹-𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝙎𝘽𝙋𝘾) on September 15, 2025, with the theme “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡: 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦 & 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐫𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐀.𝐈.).”

The event opened with a prayer led by Sir Efren C. Manalang, followed by welcoming remarks delivered by Ma’am Mercy B. Briones. Both underscored the significance of journalism in shaping informed communities, and emphasized the role of students in adapting to the fast-changing media landscape.

The competition featured various categories in English and Filipino medium, including news writing, editorial writing, feature writing, copyreading, editorial cartooning, photojournalism, radio scriptwriting, and broadcasting. Participants showcased their skills with passion, and determination, reflecting their commitment to responsible storytelling.

Throughout the day, lectures, and coaching sessions were facilitated to further enhance the participants’ knowledge and skills. Coaches guided the student-journalists not only in technical aspects, but also in upholding the values of accuracy, fairness, and integrity, principles deemed vital in the digital age.

Winners of the school-based conference will advance to the 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, where they are set to undergo more intensive training and preparation for higher-level competitions.

Living up to the spirit of ‘𝑶’𝑫𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍𝒍, 𝑫𝒐 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍!" the event showed that young campus journalists have the voice, the passion, the power to shape tomorrow’s stories, and make a big difference. ✒️

🗓️ 𝐒𝐄𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝟏𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 — The 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗝𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦 actively participated in the 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐎’𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥. Together with club officers, and members, they took the time to sweep, collect, and tidy different areas of the campus, proving that maitaning cleanliness is a shared responsibility. 🧹🌱

The activity aimed to promote a healthier, and more pleasant school environment while encouraging students to be more mindful in caring for their surroundings. Beyond cleaning, it emphasized the importance of teamwork, and discipline, values that shape responsible students and future leaders.

The School-Based Press Conference is not only a competition, but also a vital avenue for young campus journalists to sharpen their skills in writing, publishing, and ethical reporting. It is a platform to empower voices, share truth, and inspire change.

This year, we proudly honor our screening qualifiers, students who have shown talent, commitment, and passion for campus journalism. Their journey continues as they learn to amplify stories and uphold the values of truth, and creativity.
