FROM CHAOS TO CALM
We celebrated our 19th anniversary as a couple last May.
Who would have thought that we will last this long? LOL!

Just like most couples, we started with so much joy - imagine teenagers in love. 🥰

Pero 6 months lang ata yung itinagal ng honeymoon stage namin.
Away, bati. 🔄
Immature.
Mababa ang emotional intelligence.
We didn’t even know who we were nor what we wanted.

Di ko na maalala kung ilang beses ko na ginustong sumuko.
Nakakapagod kaya.
Nakaka-confuse.

At some point, akala ko hindi posible ang forever.
Dumating yung time na, nag-break din kami.

Surprisingly, that space gave us the breathing room for both of us to reflect what went wrong.

From my end, I realized the part I played in our chaotic relationship.
We made our fair share of mistakes.

Then, he pursued me again.
I was not sure if I should give us another chance back then.
Pero ayun, persistent, until he won me back.

Mas nag-mature kami.
Mas alam na namin ang gusto namin.
Mas naging intentional kami to be better- both as individuals and as a couple.

19 years forward, we’re still here:
*healed
*grown
*happy.

From a toxic relationship between two immature teenagers to a happily married couple.

It was a long road getting where we are now, pero pwede naman palang maging peaceful at masaya palagi.

My 17-year-old self wouldn’t believe, but I’m glad that we turned our relationship around.

Tawang tawa ako na naka-eavesdrop lang.

I remember an after meal conversation I had with my husband where he wonders if life is unfair kasi yung mga masasamang tao, like corrupt politicians, masarap ang buhay nila.

My answer was, matalino ang Diyos.
They may have money, power and resources but they don’t have peace. They might not even be really happy. Many of them, hindi maayos ang pamilya.

Totoo naman di ba?
Ang mga taong hindi patas lumaban sa buhay, pera lang meron sila.
But I’m sure, we sleep better at night compared sa kanila.
I bet, most of us, mas masaya ang buhay kesa sa kanila.

With all the chaos in the government and in the world right now, sa Divine Justice pa din ako umaasa.
May cause and effect ang lahat.
Kung hindi man nila sa lupa matitikman ang consequences mg bad actions nila, siguro sa after life.
