: Due to the enhanced effects of Habagat and , Tarlac is under the yellow warning level, according to PAGASA as of 11:00pm on Friday, July 18.

The Province of Tarlac was first placed under the yellow warning status on Friday at 6:19pm.

The said conditions may persist in the province in the next three hours, the state weather bureau reported.

LOOK: Officials reached out to families living along Aquino Boulevard in Tarlac City, Tarlac on Thursday, July 17, for a dialogue with riverside residents.

POSO Head Col. Elsie Miranda, Social Worker Renz Marvin Adriano, and the CSWD saturation team led the dialogue with the said residents.

"Tinalakay ang mga panganib sa kalusugan at kaligtasan ng paninirahan sa lansangan, pati na rin ang mga opsyon para sa relokasyon." wrote the city government in a social media post.

Some residents agreed to move, while others requested more time. Officials assured that the process would be handled with compassion and cooperation.

“Ang inisyatibong ito ay bahagi ng mas malawak na layunin ni Mayora Susan Yap na isulong ang kaayusan, kalinisan, at kaligtasan sa Tarlac City isang hakbang tungo sa mas maayos at makataong lungsod para sa lahat,” added the city gov't. (📸: Tarlac City Government/Facebook)

NGCP prepares for Tropical Storm

Power system operator and transmission service provider NGCP has implemented the necessary preparations and precautions to minimize the impact of Tropical Storm Crising on transmission operations and facilities.

Preparations include ensuring the reliability of communications equipment, availability of hardware materials and supplies necessary for the repair of damage to facilities, as well as the positioning of line crews in strategic areas to facilitate immediate restoration work.

NGCP’s Integrated Disaster Action Plan (IDAP) prescribes these and other procedures to ensure the readiness of all power transmission facilities expected to be affected by the passage of the weather disturbance.
