P94-M FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT IN PAMPANGA STALLED AT JUST 5.5% COMPLETION

Photos taken Wednesday show an unfinished flood control project in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga under the Flood Management Program–Construction of Flood Mitigation Structures and Drainage Systems, Upstream Portion of Dalaquitan Bridge Phase 2.

The ₱94-million project began on April 14, 2025, with a target completion date of October 10, 2025. But by July, it was suspended—after only 5.5% progress.

Sen. Bato dela Rosa turned emotional in his privilege speech at the Senate as he appealed for support for former President Rodrigo Duterte, who is currently facing trial before the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.

“Kung talagang gusto nating masiguro na lagi siyang nasa mabuting kalagayan, ang nakikita kong isa sa mga solusyon ay masuportahan ng bulwagang ito ang kaniyang interim release,” Dela Rosa said.

PSE SUSPENDS DEL MONTE PACIFIC FOR FAILURE TO FILE ANNUAL REPORT

The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) has suspended trading of Del Monte Pacific Limited (DMPL) after the company failed to submit its annual report for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2025, by the Sept. 15 deadline.

The suspension, which took effect Tuesday, will remain until DMPL complies. The company earlier cited difficulties consolidating financial data from its US-based subsidiary, Del Monte Foods Holdings Limited, which was deemed a discontinued operation at the end of FY2025.

DMPL, also listed on the Singapore Exchange, recently reported a first-quarter FY2026 net income of $5.5 million, up from $0.4 million, driven by improved sales, margins, and the deconsolidation of its loss-making US arm. Del Monte shares closed at ₱4.17 on Monday.

Former Comelec commissioner Rowena Guanzon said the Marcos family should also return their alleged ill-gotten wealth, after Malacañang urged the Discayas to give back their questionable riches.

PBBM READY TO FACE ICI — PALACE SAYS MARCOS WON’T DODGE FLOOD CONTROL PROBE

President Bongbong Marcos is willing to face investigation if summoned by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), Malacañang said Monday.

This comes after a PCIJ report revealed Marcos received ₱20 million in campaign donations from Rudhil Construction and Enterprises during the 2022 elections.
