KaBATAang PURA OPENS FIRST-EVER CYL CAMP IN PURA

The first-ever Children and Youth Leadership (CYL) Camp officially opened today, May 25, at the Charlie Cojuangco Multi-Purpose Arena in the Municipality of Pura, gathering young leaders from all 16 barangays for a three-day leadership and camping experience.

Carrying the theme “kaBATAang Pura: Partners in Governance, Drivers for Change,” the CYL Camp aims to empower the youth through leadership seminars, team-building activities, workshops, and interactive programs that promote unity, responsibility, and active participation in the community.

The opening day welcomed delegates filled with enthusiasm and excitement as they began their journey alongside fellow young leaders from across the municipality. Through various activities prepared by the organizers, participants were introduced to the importance of leadership, cooperation, and becoming active contributors to positive change in their barangays and in the municipality as a whole.

As the first Children and Youth Leadership Camp in Pura, the event marks a milestone for the local youth sector, creating a platform where young individuals can grow, connect, and develop their potential as future leaders.

The CYL Camp, which will run until May 27, reflects the municipality’s commitment to strengthening youth engagement and building a generation of empowered and service-driven leaders. With delegates from all 16 barangays united in one camp, the event stands as a celebration of leadership, camaraderie, and the power of the youth to become true partners in governance and drivers for change.

HERO’S WELCOME FILLS THE STREETS OF PURA FOR MARIAN ARELLANO’S HOMECOMING PARADE

The streets of Pura overflowed with pride, cheers, and heartfelt celebration as residents warmly welcomed home Miss Tourism World Philippines 2026, Marian Arellano during her much-anticipated Hero’s Parade. From children waving along the roadside to elders patiently waiting for a glimpse of her arrival, Puranians gathered in unity to celebrate one of their own whose success had become a shared triumph for the entire municipality.

With smiles, banners, flowers, and endless greetings filling every corner of the parade route, the atmosphere reflected not only admiration for Marian’s achievements but also the deep sense of community that defines the people of Pura. As documented through the Facebook live coverage of the Pura Tourism Sports Culture and the Arts, Marian remained visibly grateful and energized by the overwhelming support surrounding her throughout the event.

During the livestream, she jokingly shared her cravings and casually asked for food, only to be surprised by the immediate response of the people. ESTIPONA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS

Last March 12, Estipona National High School presented a standout performance during the Panagyaman Festival Cultural Dance Competition held at the Charlie Cojuangco Multi Purpose Arena. Their routine contributed to the overall success of the event, which gathered schools in a shared celebration of culture and performance.

Like all participants, their presentation was backed by extensive preparation, including practices, prop creation, and coordination of costumes. BUENAVISTA HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS

Buenavista National High School performed a well-coordinated cultural dance routine during the Panagyaman Festival Cultural Dance Competition last March 12 at the Charlie Cojuangco Multi Purpose Arena.
