Effective 𝟯𝟬 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the minimum wage rates in Central Luzon will range from ₱𝟱𝟭𝟱 to ₱𝟲𝟬𝟬 a day upon full implementation of all tranches, per 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝗥𝗕𝗜𝗜𝗜-𝟮𝟲.

Likewise, 𝗥𝗕𝗜𝗜𝗜-𝗗𝗪-𝟬𝟱 increases the monthly minimum wage of 𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺𝘴 (domestic workers) for the region to ₱𝟲,𝟱𝟬𝟬.

Heavy rainfall outlook due to Tropical Cyclone PAOLO

Tonight to tomorrow evening (October 4)
(50-100 mm):
Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan

Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall.

The public disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. PAGASA Regional Services Divisions may issue Heavy Rainfall Warnings/Thunderstorm Advisories, and other severe weather information specific to their areas of responsibility as appropriate.

Unless significant changes occur, the next Weather Advisory will be issued at 5:00 AM tomorrow.

A 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 provides forecasts for the next three hours and applies up to the municipal level. It is more precise as it utilizes Doppler radar technology to track real-time rainfall intensity, making it highly effective for immediate decision-making in flood-prone areas. A 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲, on the other hand, covers a 24-hour period but is issued only at the provincial level. It provides a broader outlook on potential weather disturbances but lacks the short-term accuracy of 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. Tropical Cyclone Update
5AM, October 3, 2025

Paolo intensifies further as it moves closer to Northern Luzon.

At 4 a.m. Friday, it was located 150 km east of Casiguran, Aurora, packing winds of 100 kph with gusts up to 125 kph. It is moving west northwestward at 20 kph.

Wind signal no. 3 is hoisted over:

• northern Aurora
• central and southern Isabela
• northern Quirino
• northern Nueva Vizcaya
• Mountain Province
• Ifugao
• southern Abra
• northern Benguet
• central and southern Ilocos Sur
• northern La Union

Paolo may continue to intensify before making landfall over northern Aurora or southern Isabela this Friday morning or noon.

Further intensification to typhoon strength is not ruled out, which may warrant the raising of wind signal no. 4.

Paolo will cross Northern Luzon, emerge over the West Philippine Sea this afternoon or evening, and exit the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday morning.

It may generate up to three meters of storm surge along the coasts of Cagayan, Isabela, and northern Aurora.

Paolo will also bring significant rainfall across Luzon this Friday:
• torrential rains in Isabela, Quirino, and Aurora
• intense rains over most of Northern Luzon
