Ang kaligtasan sa paaralan ay hindi lamang responsibilidad ng mga g**o at administrasyon, kundi ng bawat miyembro ng school community. Dapat seryosohin ang anumang banta, aksidente, bullying, at iba pang insidenteng maaaring maglagay sa panganib sa mga mag-aaral at kawani. Ang ligtas na paaralan ay pundasyon ng maayos at epektibong pagkatuto. Kaya naman, ang pag-iingat, disiplina, at pakikiisa ng lahat ay mahalaga upang maging tunay na ligtas ang ating paaralan.

Rain or Shine: Ma’am Sahagun Keeps Learning Engaging

Despite the southwest monsoon affecting the city, learning continued as Ma’am Maribeth L. Sahagun, Teacher I and Senior High School teacher, delivered an engaging lesson on the Elements of Cake Production.

Students actively participated in the discussion and activities, showing enthusiasm and enjoyment throughout the class. Ma’am Sahagun believes that effective learning goes beyond the classroom and engaging students through active participation helps make lessons more meaningful and enjoyable.

Despite the challenging weather, her dedication and interactive teaching approach kept the learners motivated and focused on learning.

DICT Brings Connectivity Closer to CATHS-Main Through SIM Card Distribution

AUGUST 14, 2026 | CENTRAL AZUCARERA DE TARLAC HIGH SCHOOL–MAIN — Teachers and learners of Central Azucarera de Tarlac High School–Main received free SIM cards through a connectivity initiative led by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Tarlac, strengthening efforts to provide accessible internet connectivity for education.

The distribution was highlighted by a message from DICT Tarlac Provincial Head Sir Edwin Mendoza, who underscored the importance of reliable internet access in supporting teaching and learning in the digital age.

The initiative received strong support from the Tarlac City Schools Division (TCSD) top management, led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ma. Irelyn Tamayo, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Melissa Sanchez, SGOD Chief Dr. Ruth Jimenez, SEPS for Social Mobilization Dr. Maylyn Figueroa, and EPS Sir Jes Aquino.

The program also showcased the collaborative efforts of the CATHS-Main Technical Working Group, led by Dr. Manuel Balbido Jr., Romy Hipolito, Tessa Aquino, Mam Shara Guiwa, Celeste Candelario, Joeric Apurong, Arnette Layug, and Ronnie Miclat.

Learning Coordinators Nelfel Tipay, Elgee Sinio, Cristina Olazo, and Ofelia Panlican likewise played an important role in ensuring the smooth implementation of the activity.

More than simply distributing SIM cards, the initiative represents a step toward better learning through connectivity. By helping teachers and learners gain access to mobile connectivity, the program opens more opportunities for digital learning, communication, information access, and educational resources.

The successful implementation of the activity was made possible through the collective efforts of school leaders, teachers, coordinators, DICT representatives, and all those who worked quietly behind the scenes.

As CATHS-Main continues to embrace technology in education, the initiative stands as a reminder that connectivity is not merely about being online—it is about creating greater opportunities to learn, connect, and succeed.
