To the dedicated teachers of Maryhill College Premier School, this is more than just a thank you. It is a reflection of the countless ways you have made a mark on your students. Through your patience, they learned persistence. In your challenges, they found their potential. In your belief, they discovered a version of themselves they hadnโ€™t yet met.

Maryhill College Premier School (MCPS) successfully concluded its two-day Intramurals 2025, marking the event with remarkable triumphs and strengthened camaraderie within the Marian community, September 19.

The second day highlighted the skills and sportsmanship of students as they competed in various games and sports, including dodgeball, patintero, running relay, chess, badminton, volleyball, and basketball.

The celebration culminated in the awarding of winners from each sporting event, followed by the announcement of the overall champion.

Hufflepuff secured the championship title, while Ravenclaw earned first runner-up. Gryffindor finished as second runner-up, and Slytherin placed third runner-up.

The success of Intramurals 2025 was made possible through the concerted effort of all the MCPS Personnel, team leaders, students and parents whose active participation and support underscored the spirit of sportsmanship and unity.

MCPS Opens Intramurals 2025 with Color and Excitement

Maryhill College Premier School (MCPS) kicked off its two-day Intramurals 2025 at the MCPS covered court, carrying the theme โ€œChampioning Mind, Power, and Health Through Excellence and Unity in Sportsโ€ September 18.

The venue buzzed with cheers and excitement as the four competing teams: Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Gryffindor paraded and showcased their spirit. The opening program highlights the yell competition and the much-awaited search for Little Mr. and Ms. Intramurals, along with Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025.

The ceremony was officially opened with the symbolic torch lighting led by selected students Steve Mozart Torres and Simon David Glodoviza. Following this, teams delivered lively dance performances that served as the programโ€™s opening salvo.

In his opening remarks, School President Rev. Fr. Allan Neil L. Laqueo emphasized the values of unity and teamwork, noting how the event brings together students from different grade levels to celebrate both sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The program concluded with the coronation of this yearโ€™s winners. Hufflepuffโ€™s representatives secured both the Little Mr. and Ms. Intramurals titles. Meanwhile, Slytherinโ€™s representative was named Mr. Intramurals 2025, and Gryffindorโ€™s candidate was crowned Ms. Intramurals 2025.

The successful opening signaled the start of two days filled with competition, teamwork, and school pride.

Maryhill College Premier School (MCPS) celebrated the feast day of Our Lady of Maryknoll, the schoolโ€™s patroness, at the MC Covered Court, September 9.

The program showcased a Marian display, Character Dress Up (Mama Mary) of the Higher Education Department (HED), and Indayog para kay Maria, a dance presentation featuring performances from various departments and selected teachers.

A Marian Exhibit was also mounted, with departments creatively designing booths in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The celebration concluded with a spirit of devotion and gratitude to the schoolโ€™s patroness.

Maryhill College Premier School (MCPS) officially opened its Academic Year 2025โ€“2026 with the celebration of the Holy Spirit Mass at St. Joseph Spouse of Mary Chapel, July 31.

Most Rev. Mel Rey M. Uy, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Lucena, presided over the Mass, joined by school officials Rev. Fr. Allan Neil Laqueo, School President; Rev. Fr. Raul Macaraig, Vice President for Academics; and Rev. Fr. Rolly Pabillano, Jr., School Chaplain. Faculty members, students, and administrators filled the chapel for the annual tradition.

In his homily, Bishop Uy welcomed the Marian community to the new academic year, emphasizing the values of acceptance and humility that should guide their journey ahead.

"It's not your choice to choose a parent and it's not your choice to go in heaven," Bishop Uy told the congregation. "Hindi tayo pipiliin ng Diyos base sa standards."

The bishop concluded his message with a call for acceptance: "Ang mahalaga ay ang pagtanggap at kung paano natin ito tatanggapin" (What matters is acceptance and how we receive it).

Following the liturgical celebration, faculty members and newly elected officers of the Maryhill College Premier Organization (MCPO) and Maryhill College Premiere School Council of Officers (MCPSCO) took their oath of service before the Marian community. Bishop Uy administered the oath-taking ceremony, which reaffirmed the commitment of both educators and student leaders to uphold the school's pillars of excellence, leadership, and service throughout the academic year.

In line with Memorandum Circular No. 90 and the advisory from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) regarding continuous heavy rainfall caused by the Southwest Monsoon, work in government offices and classes at all levels in selected provinces, including Quezon, will be suspended tomorrow, July 23, 2025.

Moreover, the suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

Marians are advised to stay safe, remain vigilant, and monitor the official pages of The Creed and MCPS Tayabas for further updates and advisories.

LOOK | PTA Officers donate Sports Equipment to Support Marian Athletes

In a move to strengthen the schoolโ€™s sports program, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), led by Engr. Krishnan Earl Zara, PTA President, donated volleyballs on June 16 and basketballs on July 4 to Maryhill College Premier School.

School Principal, Mrs. Rosalie C. De Ramos, and Student Activities Coordinator, Mr. Keanu D. Baldovino, formally received the equipment, aiming to support Marian students in their sports development.
