Sometime in April 2024, I caught this massive dalag on an ultra-light setup at Caliraya Lake.
It was almost 6 PM when she decided to smoke my soft lure! What a fight on an ultra-light setup!
In this picture, she looks a little shy and wasn’t really in the mood to smile for the camera. 😂
But after a while, we decided to let her go… straight into our stomachs! 😋 She was absolutely delicious!
They say Caliraya Lake is clean, and judging by how tasty this dalag was, she definitely seemed to agree. 😂

Once upon a time, I caught a “dalag” (snakehead) using a 7g soft plastic lure at Baras Ecopark. I wonder if her relatives are still there, waiting for the next anglers to come along.😁
