Every moment is a gift, one that should be valued and treasured deep within our hearts. As the 𝗔𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟴 gathered together, they not only brought back memories of their past experiences but also created new ones, making their celebration even more meaningful. By sharing these moments with their batchmates and the community, their love and gratitude for what they have experienced continued to bloom. Lastly, let us always remember that every moment we capture is a testament to the bond we shared as one.

On December 28, 2025, the second day of activities of Alumni Batch 1998 was a community outreach program that was organized in Maguintalunan. The alumni continued the teamwork they had shown in sports, extending it beyond the court by sharing gifts and foods with the community.

This meaningful activity highlighted the core value of compassionate service for others. Despite the long distance and bumpy roads, the smiles of the children and the elderly ones made every effort worthwhile as their smiles were so genuine that it reach their eyes.

Indeed, sharing is not only an act of caring, but a reflection of love and gratitude. This experience reminds us that giving should not be limited to a Christmas day alone, because the spirit of Christmas lives on us every single day.

𝕭𝖆𝖈𝖐 𝖙𝖔 1998

Some things never fade, even as time passes, especially the memories we shared during our school days. The laughter, the support through every high and low, whether during the release of grades or even in our most foolish moments, remains unforgettable. This was truly proven by the 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟖 of Maryknoll School of Sto. Tomas, Inc. during their gathering on December 27, 2025.

The alumni showcased their sportsmanship through volleyball and basketball, proving that camaraderie and teamwork never grows old. In addition, they showed that age is not a barrier to enjoying parlor games thoughtfully prepared by the batch. Their energy and enthusiasm were further highlighted as they confidently displayed their love for movement and rhythm through a lively Zumba dance.

Above all, the bond we share has never weakened but instead, it has grown stronger with time. The memories we created will always stay with us—perhaps forgotten by the mind, but never by the heart. As Maryknollians, and forever Maryknollians, we continue to carry the institution’s 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬: 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬.

Knowledge holds wisdom that makes it very powerful. But sports are about more than just knowledge. It has the power to truly transform a person. On November 20-21, Maryknoll School of Sto. Tomas Inc. proudly competed in the AlPPa cluster meet 2025, stepping into the exciting world of sports. During this event, the three core values—deep spirituality with Marian devotion, passion for truth, and pursuit of excellence—were embodied by all Maryknollian athletes. As the competition unfolded, strategies, sportsmanship, teamwork, and both physical and mental strength were put to the test. But above all, let's remember that whether we win or lose, the real trophy is the memories we create together. True success lies in enjoying the journey and fulfilling the purpose of every game.

𝖀𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖊𝖉 𝖇𝖞 𝖋𝖆𝖎𝖙𝖍, 𝖈𝖆𝖗𝖊𝖊𝖗 𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖎𝖈𝖊𝖘, 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖚𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖞 𝖆𝖒𝖔𝖓𝖌 𝖓𝖆𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓𝖘!

On October 30, 2025, Maryknoll School of Sto. Tomas Inc. successfully combined three significant events into one, under the theme, "𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒐𝒏 21𝒔𝒕 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒚 𝑺𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔."

The day began with a Living Rosary, where selected students held candles in honor of the conclusion of the Rosary Month in October. This was followed by a showcase of future career options for students from nursery through 12th grade. The ceremony included the entrance of colors, the singing of the national anthem and the Maryknoll hymn, accompanied by the opening salvo performed by Peer Club officers and members.

Next, the career guidance counselor, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐨, 𝐑𝐏𝐦, delivered an inspirational speech on the importance of choosing a career for the future. To further enhance students’ understanding of career choices, 𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐥, 𝐑𝐍 an alunmus who currently works as an ICU and ward staff nurse at Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum City, shared his experiences from college. He also provided strategies for selecting a career. This sharing allowed Maryknollians to discover their passions and plan their paths ahead. Following this, representatives from each grade showcased their chosen careers along with descriptions. The morning program concluded with the selection of Mr. and Mrs. Career Guidance.

In the afternoon, a segment focused on unity among nations was held. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞 delivered an opening message about the importance of the United Nations. This was followed by students from nursery to grade 3 showcasing flags made from recycled materials. Subsequently, students from nursery to grade 12 modeled stunning traditional costumes representing their chosen nations, each accompanied by a brief introduction. At the end of this program, Mr. and Mrs. UN 2025 were selected.

In summary, we are all united by our faith while striving to achieve our dream careers for the future. The event also emphasized the importance of peace and unity among nations to create a better world for everyone.

𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕲𝖔𝖔𝖉 𝕹𝖊𝖜𝖘

Maryknoll School of Sto. Tomas, Inc. held its First Friday Mass on November 8, 2025, presided over by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐓. 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in faith to listen to the homily and reflect on the lessons drawn from the day’s Readings and Gospel.

The celebration reminded Maryknollians of the importance of teamwork, peace, and unity in sharing the Good News of Jesus. It also emphasized the values of honesty, loyalty, and placing God at the center of one’s life. Inspired by these reflections, the entire community was encouraged to live out their faith through genuine action — to be true followers of Christ and to do good in everyday life.

On November 6, 2025, the Grade 12 SHS students showcased their performance task — a 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚 held at the school auditorium. The stage came alive with emotion, creativity, and truth, as the play shed light on the pressing social issues that continue to challenge our nation. It revealed the realities that many choose to overlook, urging everyone to open their eyes and hearts.

Among the audience were the Junior High School and Grade 11 students, who watched with curiosity and deep reflection as each scene unfolded. Through powerful acting and heartfelt storytelling, the Grade 12 performers proved that theater is more than just entertainment — it is a voice, a movement, and a call for awareness and change. Truly, it was a performance that spoke beyond the stage.

📢𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭‼️

Earthquakes frequently occurred throughout the Philippines every year, particularly this last October, it is important to know the proper safety procedures. On November 6, 2025, Maryknoll School of Sto. Tomas Inc. conducted an earthquake drill. During the drill, Maryknollians practiced the"𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒌, 𝒄𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅" technique while the alarm sounded, then moved to open ground within the campus. Afterwards, they conducted roll calls to account for all students, with some roles simulating casualties. Through this activity, students learned not only from their lessons but also how to respond effectively in case of an earthquake.

It is essential to stay calm and responsive during disasters because panic could lead to harm. Remembering that prevention is better than cure helped emphasize the importance of preparedness.
