My heart is heavy today.
I don’t know Wilma Auza personally, but her story feels incredibly close — because like many of us living or working away from home, I know what it means to carry quiet sacrifices just to provide, to survive, and to make our loved ones proud.
Let this post be more than just a tribute — let it be a reminder.
Success means nothing if it costs us our health, our peace, or our life.
Sharing this to honor Wilma, a fellow Filipino and OFW who gave her all… even to her last breath.
✈️💔 She was supposed to come home today…
From Kuwait to Japan to Manila, then finally to Cebu —
Wilma Auza was just miles away from home.
But she never made it.
Instead of a joyful reunion, her family received the most heartbreaking news.
💔 Wilma Auza, an overseas Filipino worker, had just arrived from Japan.
She boarded a bus in Cebu — excited, hopeful, and eager to surprise her loved ones.
But somewhere along the road… she passed away. Alone.
The cause: cardiac arrest.
🧳 Her luggage was filled with gifts.
But her body carried something heavier — years of silent sacrifice.
She was tired. Too tired.
And no one knew how close she was to breaking — not out of weakness,
but from always giving, and never resting.

Encourage them to rest. Push for regular check-ups.
Remind them they are valued — not just for what they send,
but for who they are.

Coming home alive matters more than coming home with pasalubong.
