Nanawagan si Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste na imbestigahan ang humigit-kumulang ₱8 bilyong DPWH projects na naka-tag sa “OP (ES-SAP)”, partikular ang ₱300 milyong pondo para sa mga streetlights sa Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway sa 1st District ng Batangas.

Ayon kay Leviste, ang ₱8B street lighting project ay nasa ilalim ng “OP (ES/SAP)” tag, na kahawig umano ng mga acronym na OP for Office of the President; ES for Executive Secretary; at SAP for Special Assistant to the President—na maaaring tumutukoy sa mga opisina, at hindi sa kanino mang opisyal.

“I respectfully call on all investigative bodies to place this matter at the top of their agenda. This matter strikes directly at the integrity of the national budget itself and must be fully investigated without delay,” ang naging pahayag ni dating Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

REPORTED SIGHTING IN ORMOC OF MISSING PRIEST IS BEING ACTIVELY VALIDATED - COL APAS

Ginbawi han Leyte PNP provincial director an nauna nga report nga daw hinkit-an an nawawara nga padi ha Ormoc, ngan ginbavalidate na la nira an location.

Basaha an ira bag-o la nga gingawas nga statement:

The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO) is currently conducting an active validation and investigation regarding the reported missing person, Father Edwin Cutz Caintoy, 55 years old, parish priest of San Jose de Malibago Parish, Brgy. Malibago, Babatngon, Leyte, including circulating social media posts claiming that he has already been found, which remain unverified as of this time.

Based on the report received on December 24, 2025, Father Caintoy was last seen at around 9:08 AM on December 23, 2025 after traveling from Babatngon, Leyte to Tacloban City. He was last captured on CCTV footage near the VSYS Department Store walking toward Robinsons North, Tacloban City. His whereabouts thereafter remain unknown.

The LPPO, in coordination with concerned police units, is actively pursuing all leads to determine the circumstances of the incident and locate Father Caintoy at the soonest possible time.

The LPPO urges the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified or misleading information, as this may cause unnecessary alarm and hinder ongoing investigations. Verified updates will be released through official police channels.
