On September 20, 2025, the Y-SNED Members of Gen. Maximino Hizon Elementary School joyfully took part in the Y-SNED Mass Induction Ceremony held at Hube Hall, YWCA FFPI. The half-day event, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, was spearheaded by Ms. Amcy M. Esteban, Special Education Program Supervisor–SDO Manila and Chairman of the Y-SNED Committee, YWCA FFPI.
The ceremony gathered more than 96 participants composed of learners, advisers, and parents. The warm welcome and inspirational message were delivered by Ms. Myra A. Doncila, Vice President for Visayas, YWCA FFPI. She reminded everyone that “Children are not a challenge—They are a blessing,” a heartfelt message that encouraged all to see the induction as a celebration of every child’s gift and potential.
Also present was Ms. Macrina B. Gutirrez, Executive Director of YWCA FFPI, who congratulated the newly inducted members. She expressed her hope that this day would mark the beginning of a meaningful and fruitful journey with the YWCA.
To make the occasion livelier, two different songs were beautifully performed by talented learners, Francis Aiden Rio (LWID-B) and Janika Angela T. Anselmo (GT-6). Their heartfelt performances touched the audience and added a joyful rhythm to the event.
Another highlight was the community singing of the YWCA Hymn, where participants performed with actions. Among those recognized for their outstanding participation were Cedric D. Pabiana (GT-6) and Janika Angela T. Anselmo (GT-6), who both received gift checks as tokens of appreciation.
The smooth flow of the entire program was ensured by Ms. Jenalyn O. Abocado, the GMHES Y-SNED Coordinator, who graciously served as the Master of Ceremonies. Through her efforts, the event became well-organized, meaningful, and memorable for everyone present. Meanwhile, Ms. Ma. Doreza M. Costan, Y-SNED Adviser, ensured that the participants were well taken care of and that their needs were promptly addressed.
Finally, heartfelt gratitude was extended to our dear principal, Mr. Fernando N. Magalang, for his unwavering support and encouragement. His guidance and generosity made it possible for our advisers and students to be part of this significant and inspiring celebration.
