The journey of every agriculture student is never easy. It is filled with early mornings in the field, long hours in classrooms, and days when things do not go as planned. But through all of this, the graduates of The Green Leaf Batch have shown patience, hard work, and determination.

These graduates are more than students finishing a degree. They are soon to be agriculturists who understand the value of the land, the importance of food production, and the responsibility of helping communities grow and sustain life.

As they leave the university, they also carry with them the memories, struggles, and lessons that helped them become who they are today. The fields they once worked on and the classrooms they once studied in will always be part of their story.

HIGHLIGHTS | 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮'𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗷𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

With these meaningful words, Jhon Robert Jaranilla, a graduate of the Certificate of Agriculture Science program, delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude and celebration during the commencement exercises at Torrijos Campus. He highlighted how the graduates' success was built not only on achievements but also on silent resilience, personal sacrifices, and unwavering determination.

Jaranilla emphasized that true strength is often found in perseverance and consistency rather than recognition. As the graduates move forward, his message serves as a reminder that meaningful change does not always come from the loudest voices, but from those who remain steadfast in their goals. He concluded with the words, “𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙩, 𝙥𝙖𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙡𝙪𝙥𝙖”

With these powerful words, Mr. Jeannie Maaño, the guest speaker and a Bachelor of Agricultural Technology graduate of Batch 1999 from Marinduque State University–Torrijos Campus, delivered an inspiring message to the graduates and faculty of the College of Agriculture during the 37th Commencement Exercises. He emphasized the importance of integrity, honor, and the responsibility carried by those who help ensure food security for future generations.

Mr. Maaño also shared the story behind his childhood nickname, "BANAK," which he later transformed into an acronym meaning Brave, Aspirations, Noble, Attitude, and Knowledge. His journey serves as a testament that despite challenges and sacrifices, pursuing one's dreams with perseverance and integrity brings one closer to success.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗼𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶 𝟯𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀

‎Marinduque State University Torrijos Campus – College of Agriculture held its 37th Commencement Exercises with the theme: "𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 70 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙂𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨" held at Torrijos Stadium, Poblacion, Torrijos, Marinduque.

The event began with the processional and opening program, followed by the presentation of graduates by the College Dean, Dr. Marilyn A. Mayores, and the endorsement of the Campus Registrar, Assoc. Prof. Isabel Reforma, to the University President. Afterwards, MarSU President Prof. Dr. Diosdado P. Zulueta confirmed the certificates, diplomas, and titles and delivered his formal speech.

Following this, Prof. Dr. Doreen R. Mascareñas introduced the distinguished guest of honor, Mr. Jeannie M. Maaño, Piggery Farm Manager of M.E.R.J Investment Ltd., New Zealand, who shared his inspiring message. Also, Torrijos Municipal Mayor Hon. Joey Peñaflor and Marinduque Lone District Congressman Hon. Reynaldo Salvacion, represented by Hon. Reymarc Salvacion, delivered their congratulatory messages to the graduates.

The program continued as the MarSU officials awarded the diplomas and certificates to the graduates together with their parents. After that, Mr. Jhon Robert Jaranilla, a Certificate in Agriculture Science graduate, delivered his words of gratitude, highlighting the silent fights through the years and battling doubts.

‎The ceremony concluded with the graduates' pledge of loyalty, their official induction into the MarSU Alumni Association, and the singing of “Pilipinas Kong Mahal”.

TORRIJOS STADIUM— The stadium became a scene of immense pride and celebration as Marinduque State University (MarSU) Torrijos Campus- College of Agriculture spearheaded its annual Student Recognition Day.

‎The grandstand was filled with MarSU Officials, proud parents, and peers who gathered to honor the exceptional achievements of the college top-performing students.
‎
This institutional ceremony served as a formal tribute to student excellence, resilience, and holistic development, shining a spotlight on those who went above and beyond in their academic, athletic, artistic, leadership and research endeavors.

The Marinduque State University – College of Agriculture formally commences its Hood, Cap, and Candlelight Ceremony as part of this year’s graduation rites, marking a significant milestone for graduating students.

The Hood and Cap Ceremony was led by Assoc. Prof. Marvin A. Plata, Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, while the Candlelight Ceremony was facilitated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marilyn A. Mayores, Dean of the College of Agriculture, together with Assoc. Prof. Harvey A. Dulay, Campus Director, and Assoc. Prof. Adrian S. Mausig, Program Chairperson of the Bachelor of Agricultural Technology and Diploma in Agricultural Technology programs.
