1. *Cambangay Sur* original seat of government
- Means from word *“Bangay”* a kind of w**d that thrived there. Story: farmer w**ding, Spanish soldier asked name, farmer said “bangay”, soldier said “Come Bangay” became Cambangay
- Cambangay Sur was formerly part of Talibon when Talibon became a pueblo during Spanish regime
2. *From forest to settlement*
- Area was once forested region abundant in wildlife hunting ground of nearby towns
- Early American period, handful migrated from *Ipil* (now Trinidad) along Ipil River searching better opportunities
- Bulk of migrants came from *Loon, Bohol* explains why many Loon-anon surnames
