The Justice of Acre accepted an appeal and reduced the sentence of André de Souza Martins, sentenced to more than 42 years for killing, dismembering and filming the death of Débora Bessa, in January of last year. The decision is by the 1st Rod of the Jury Court of Rio Branco.

Martins and Luciele Souza do Nascimento were sentenced to more than 60 years in prison in a closed regime for the death of Débora. With the appeal, the sentence of the accused reduced to 36 years, seven months and 20 days fines. There is no change in Luciele's sentence.

"There were two things that the defense understood at that moment that was not configured in the crime: that it would have been due to criminal organization and that the dosimetry of the penalty, which is the amount of penalty, had been very high. welcomed and reduced", confirmed Martins' lawyer, Cláudio Baltazar.

The barbaric video in which Débora appears to be beheaded while she was still alive was used by the police to identify the author of the crime. The images leaked in WhatsApp groups and ended up going viral. At the police station, Martins even confessed that he killed Débora for

revenge.
