President Marcos has appointed Greg Guillermo Pua, Jr. as the new executive director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO)โthe youngest official to host the post in the history of the agency.
LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II welcomed Puaโs statement, saying his vast experience working with various private and government entities, including as LTOโs Chief legal consultant, will be of big help in pushing for the implementation of various projects and reform programs.
โThe number of our youth clients have been increasing exponentially. We need fresh ideas in the changing landscape of government service. Executive Director Pua will bring in the youth idealism and vigor in the top level positions in the LTO,โ said Assec Mendoza.
The 35-year old Pua took up Legal Management at the San Beda University where he also obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree.
He held various positions in several law offices and was also a consistent legal consultant of transport groups before he entered the LTO.
Pua replaced Francis Almora who will return as the director of the Law Enforcement Service.
โExecutive Director Pua proved himself to be both a team player and innovative leader. On behalf of the LTO family, we welcome his appointment as the LTO Executive Director,โ said Assec Mendoza.
He said he will be of big help in the implementation of various programs that focus on solving all the challenges in the LTO, maximizing the reach of the agency to its youth clients and promoting road safety which is an advocacy of Department of Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista. #
