🚫 What NOT to Do in a Client Interview
1. Don’t come unprepared
- Nope, di uubra ang “bahala na si Batman” mindset
- Not checking the client’s business/brand beforehand makes you look disinterested
- Do a quick browse of their website or social media to show effort

2. Don’t oversell or exaggerate
- Telling clients “I can do everything” isn’t effective
- Clients respect honesty more than inflated claims
- It’s better to admit what you’re still learning than to promise the moon and fail later

3. Don’t under-communicate
- One-word answers like “yes/no” kill the vibe
- Clients are not mind readers—expand a bit, give examples, share stories
- Interviews are conversations, not interrogations

4. Don’t trash-talk past clients

- It makes you look unprofessional and gives the impression you might do the same to this client later

5. Don’t be too formal or too casual
- Too formal sounds boring, too casual sounds careless and unprofessional
- Find the sweet spot: professional but still friendly

- If asked about rates, don’t say “whatever that fits your budget”
- Be confident— hesitation makes clients doubt your skills.
- State your rate clearly, then explain the value you bring

7. Don’t ignore time & tech checks
- Being late says a lot about reliability
- Test your mic, cam, and internet before the call
- If you’re in the province and prone to brownouts or lag, mention your backup plan during the interview

8. Don’t forget to ask questions
- The worst thing is ending with: “Nope, no questions”
- It signals you’re not really invested
- Always have at least 1–2 thoughtful questions about their goals or workflow.

- Over-apologizing, talking too fast, or filling silence with “uhmmmmm” shows low confidence
- Deep breath. Smile. Treat it like a friendly chat
