Heart breaking 💔
14-YEAR-OLD STOLEN FROM AFTER BEING MURDERED 💔
14-year-old Danika Troy was reported missing on December 1, 2025. The following day, December 2, Santa Rosa County deputies located her in a wooded area near Kimberly Road. As the investigation unfolded, multiple arrests occurred over a short period of time, each for very different reasons.
First, two teens were charged in Danika’s case. 16-year-old Gabriel Coleman Williams and 14-year-old Kimahri Blevins have both been formally charged with first-degree premeditated murder. Law enforcement has stated they intend to seek adult prosecution. These charges are already filed and the cases are ongoing.
Second, another arrest stemmed from what investigators say happened after Danika was found. According to authorities, a 45-year-old man named Mitchell Eddins came across Danika in the wooded area. Investigators allege he did not immediately contact police and instead removed her electric scooter from the area. He was arrested on December 3 and charged with petty theft and failure to report a death. He is not accused of harming Danika.
Separately, court records show that on December 2, Jana Williams, the legal guardian of Gabriel Williams, was arrested on unrelated drug charges. That arrest is not connected to Danika’s case and does not involve the investigation itself, but it has been noted because of her relationship to one of the defendants.
Danika’s family and community have described her as energetic and full of life. A candlelight vigil was held in Pace in her memory.
If you were the person who found her, what would you have done?
RIP Danika Troy 🕯️
