𝙈𝙂𝘽 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧-𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II recently held its Year-End Assessment at the MGB Multi-Purpose Hall.

During the Assessment, physical accomplishments were reviewed, noting that the agency has accomplished over 100% of their targets for the CY 2025. Along with the physical accomplishments, the agency also reviewed its budget utilization and spending throughout the year.

𝐌𝐆𝐁 𝐑𝐎𝐈𝐈 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝟏𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐠𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II recently celebrated the 127th Founding Anniversary of the Bureau at the MGB Multi-Purpose Hall, marked by more than a century of dedicated service in the fields of mining and geosciences.

The program opened with the messages of appreciation and encouragement delivered through audio visual presentation by DENR Secretary Atty. Raphael P. M. Lotilla and DENR Assistant Secretary for mining concerns and MGB concurrent Director Engr. Michael V. Cabalda, both acknowledging the vital role of MGB personnel in fulfilling the agency’s mandate.

The program also acknowledges the loyalty and dedication of the MGB ROII personnel who have rendered years of service to the government.

An Audio-Visual Presentation showcasing the historical journey and milestones of the bureau was also conducted during the celebration.

A significant activity during the occasion was the distribution of rice anniversary gifts given personally by MGB ROII Regional Director Engr. Mario A. Ancheta himself. The gesture was the RD Ancheta's personal expression of gratitude to the MGB ROII staff as a symbol of gratitude, solidarity, and shared commitment as the bureau remains committed to its mission.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) recently received reports of individuals/parties misrepresenting the Assistant Secretary for Mining Concerns and concurrent OIC Director Engr. Michael V. Cabalda and identifying themselves as family member of the said official to solicit investment/fund.

The MGB enjoins the general public to be vigilant against those who might take advantage of the Yuletide season for unauthorized and illegal monetary solicitations.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Regional Office No. II (MGB RO II) joined in the celebration of the 71st Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC), with the theme: “Mission Possible: Building Strategic Alliances for Sustainable Progress”.

The ANMSEC is a flagship event of the Philippine mining industry focused on promoting responsible mining, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety. The event was held at Camp John Hay, Baguio City.

As part of the event, the conference featured a Mining Exhibit that brought together various mining companies, mining equipment suppliers, and oil industry partners who set up interactive booths throughout the venue. The exhibitors showcased their latest technologies, products, and services, while also engaging participants through industry-related minigames, raffles, and giveaways to promote learning and collaboration in an engaging manner.

Among the exhibitors was FCF Minerals Corporation, a mining company operating under the supervision of the MGB RO II. FCF Minerals showcased its community programs, environmental initiatives, and operational highlights.
