1. Violence and Extremism
Violent Action
We take a firm position not to allow violence on or off Shopee Video. We do not allow anyone to use our platform to threaten or incite violence or promote harmful individuals or organizations. If there is a threat to public safety or an account is used to promote or incorporate violence off-platform, we may suspend or block the account. Once we have ascertained, we have the full right to report the threat to the relevant legal authority. To effectively protect our community, we may consider the information available on other platforms and offline to identify individuals and organizations involved in violent and extremist acts on our platforms.
We consider incitement to violence as advocating, directing, or encouraging others to commit violence. We do not allow threats of violence or incitement to violence on our platform that could result in serious physical injury.
Do not display, upload, broadcast, or share content that:
Contains statements intended to cause physical injury to individuals or groups.
Encourages others to commit or support physical violence.
Includes conditional or aspirational statements that promote violence.
Calls for bringing weapons to intimidate or threaten individuals or groups with violence.

Physical and Psychological Danger of Minors
Behaviors that put minors at risk for physical or psychological harm, including physical abuse, neglect, harm, or psychological belittling. We remove such content from our platform.
Do not display, upload, transmit, or distribute content that:
Depicts or promotes physical abuse, neglect, or harm to minors, or minimizes the psychological impact on them.
Depicts or promotes survival techniques without warning about the associated dangers of replicating these techniques.
Horrible Images
Shopee Video is a platform that values creativity, not distress or violence. We do not allow content that is overly shocking, horrific, sadistic, frightening, or content that promotes or normalizes extreme violence or suffering on our platform. When there is a threat to public safety, we may suspend or block the account and, upon confirmation, we reserve the right to report it to the relevant legal authority.

Blood that is focused on open wounds or injuries

Extremism and Dangerous Organizations
We do not permit harmful individuals or organizations on our platform to promote or engage in violence. This includes the removal of mass murderers, serial killers, rapists, hate groups, criminal organizations, terrorist organizations, and stateless armed groups that explicitly target civilians.
Terrorist organizations
Terrorists and terrorist organizations are stateless actors who clearly threaten violence, violence, and/or commit serious crimes (such as crimes against humanity) against civilians to achieve political, religious, ethnic, or ideological goals.
Hate organizations
Hate organizations refer to individuals and organizations that attack others based on protected characteristics, such as race, ethnicity, country of origin, religion, caste, s*xual orientation, gender, gender identity, or immigration status. We consider attacks to include acts that incite violence or hatred, dehumanize individuals or groups, or adhere to hateful ideologies.
Criminal organizations

Nudity and s*xual activity include content that overtly exposes breasts, ge****ls, a**s, or buttocks, or behavior that mimics, implies, or displays s*xual acts. We do not allow the depiction, including digitally created or manipulated content, of nudity or s*xual activity. We are wary of content that is offensive or culturally inappropriate in certain regions, or content that may not be suitable for users of all ages.
Do not display, upload, transmit, or distribute:
Content displaying nudity, mature adults including naked women or men, topless women, women or men not wearing bottoms, women wearing s*xy or revealing lingerie, open cleavage or exposed lower/side breasts, and women wearing only underwear [Adult Nudity]

S*xual Exploitation of Minors
S*xual exploitation of minors is the abuse of a position of power or trust for s*xual purposes, including obtaining financial, social, s*xual, or political advantage from the exploitation of minors. Child S*xual Abuse Materials (CSAM) is defined as visual depictions of nudity or s*xually explicit behavior, taken by predatory adults, peers, or self-made by minors. Shopee Video will take action on any content or accounts that involve s*xual interaction and s*xual advances between adults and minors, or between minors.

Shares, re-shares, offers to trade or sell, or directs users outside the platform to obtain or distribute Child S*xual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Involves minors in s*xual contexts or exploits minors s*xually (e.g., through features like duets).
Depicts, promotes, or encourages images of child abuse, including nudity or s*xual activity involving minors.
Normalizes or promotes pe******ia or s*xual abuse of minors.
Victimizes or exploits minors as victims of abuse through redistribution or reenactment of abuse.
Inappropriate grooming behavior
Inappropriate grooming behavior occurs when an adult establishes an emotional connection with a minor in order to gain their trust for the purpose of future or current s*xual contact, s*xual harassment, s*x trafficking, or other s*xual exploitation. This behavior includes: flattery, soliciting contact on and off the platform, soliciting personal information, soliciting child s*xual abuse material, making s*xual advances or comments, and giving gifts. We do not allow inappropriate grooming behavior.

S*xual exploitation is any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, power, or trust for s*xual purposes, including, obtaining financial, social, or political advantage from the s*xual exploitation of another person. We do not allow s*xually exploitative content.

3. Dangerous Behavior

We remove content featuring su***de, suicidal tendencies, or content that encourages participation in other self-injurious behavior. We also remove content that depicts attempted su***de or content that shows a person engaging in, or intending to engage in, behavior that is likely to lead to death itself. We prohibit any form of content that promotes or normalizes su***de, provides instructions for su***de, or posts that depict su***de as heroic or honorable.

Self-injury and eating disorders
To prevent the normalization or encouragement of self-injurious behavior, we do not allow images depicting such behavior, regardless of the user's intentions. We remove any content that promotes or normalizes actions that could lead to self-inflicted harm. Additionally, content promoting unhealthy eating habits that may cause serious health issues is prohibited on this platform.

Dangerous Action
We define risky activities or other dangerous behavior as actions that are carried out in an unprofessional or unskilled context and do not comply with safety safeguards that could cause serious injury or death to the user or the public. We don't allow content that depicts, promotes, normalizes, or otherwise promotes such behavior, including amateur displays of bravery or dangerous challenges.

Dangerous activities by minors include possession or use of substances prohibited for minors, abuse of legal substances, involvement in illegal activities, participation in activities, physical challenges, or other challenges that may threaten the well-being of minors. We remove such content from our platform.

Suggests, depicts, describes, imitates, or promotes the possession or consumption of alcohol, to***co, or drugs by minors.

4. Illegal Goods and Trade
We strive to ensure that Shopee Video prohibits activities that violate laws and regulations. We ban the regulated trade, sale, promotion, and use of certain goods, as well as the depiction, promotion, or facilitation of criminal activities, including human exploitation. Content may be removed if it relates to a regulated or illegal activity or item in most regions or worldwide, even if the activity or item is considered legal in the jurisdiction where it was uploaded.
Criminal activity
Criminal activity encompasses a broad spectrum of acts punishable by law, including theft, assault, human exploitation, counterfeiting, and other harmful behaviors. To prevent these behaviors from being normalized or imitated, we remove content that promotes criminal activity.

We do not allow content that promotes gambling services, or which could be deemed to advertise casinos, sports betting, or other commercial gambling activities.

Scams and Schemes
We do not allow anyone to exploit our platform to take advantage of users' trust and incur financial or personal losses. We remove content that deceives others for financial or personal gain that is unlawful, including schemes to deceive others or steal assets.

Depicts or promotes Ponzi schemes, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes.

5. Harassment and Bullying
We believe in and are committed to building an inclusive community where each individual can express himself/herself without fear of harassment. We do not tolerate when members of our community are humiliated, bullied, or harassed. Violent content or behavior can cause severe psychological distress and will be removed from our platform.
Violent Behavior
We remove all expressions of violence, including threats or disparaging statements intended to ridicule, insult, humiliate, intimidate, or harm others. This prohibition also applies to the use of Shopee Video features. While expressions related to public interest and critical comments on public figures may be permitted, serious violent behavior against public figures is strictly prohibited.
