“I used to leave GCs until…”

5 years ago, madalas akong magleave ng group chats.

😅When no one replies to my question
😅When the convo got annoying
😅When I had a clash with someone
😅When I felt unvalued

Then one day, my mentor asked me:
“Bakit ba leave ka nang leave ng GC?
To prove a point?
To show you’re frustrated?
To act like the boss?”

And then he said something that hit hard:
“That shows poor emotional endurance. If you want to be a great leader, work on it” 🥲

Poor emotional endurance means:
📌 You get easily offended
📌 You get discouraged quickly
📌 You walk away when things get uncomfortable

He said,
“Hindi mo macocontrol ang mga tao, you’ll just get frustrated.
But you can control how you respond.”👍

At first, I got defensive.
But deep down? Alam kong totoo.😅

Then he added:
“If you don’t want to be in the chat, archive or mute it.
But don’t show a bad temper.
Don’t let your emotions lead the room."💆🏻‍♀️

I took that lesson to heart.

And I learned that...
It’s not just a GC.
It reflects how you handle discomfort.
It shows your patience, your maturity,
and how you treat people in the long run.✅

So if you’re going to leave,
leave a mark NOT a spark that burns a bridge you might still need.❤️‍🔥
