‼️DOH: IT’S FLU SEASON, NOT AN OUTBREAK‼️

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬
October 17, 2025

Loreto District Hospital enriches the spiritual aspect of its employees, patients, and watchers through a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 3 o’clock in the afternoon — in devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The mass is presided by Rev. Fr. Charlton G. Plateros, SVD, Parish Priest of St. Isidore the Farmer Parish of Loreto.

1st Reading: Rom. 4:1-8
Psalm: Ps 32:1-2,5,11
Gospel: Luke 12:1-7

Reflection:
In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds His disciples:

“Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known… Even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

This passage calls us to live with integrity and truth. It is a gentle reminder that God sees beyond appearances—He knows our hearts, our struggles, and our true selves. We are invited to live honestly, not pretending to be someone we are not, because in God’s eyes, we are already fully known and deeply loved.

Being true to oneself is an act of faith. It means embracing who we are—our strengths and imperfections alike—and allowing God’s grace to work through our authenticity. In a world that often pressures us to wear masks or compare ourselves to others, Jesus calls us to live courageously and sincerely.

For us in the healthcare field, this message is a source of inspiration. When we serve others with genuine compassion and humility, when we accept ourselves and others as they are, we become living witnesses of God’s love and truth.

Let us remember: we are valuable, seen, and loved by God. May this truth free us to live authentically, to serve wholeheartedly, and to treat every person with dignity and respect—just as God does with us.

The Department of Health-CHD Caraga reminds the general public on WHAT TO DO AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE:

-Stay Calm
-Check yourself for any injuries and seek medical help
-After you have taken care of yourself, help injured or trapped persons near the affected area.
-Inspect your home for damage. Examine walls, floor, doors, staircases, and windows to make sure that the building is not in danger of collapsing.
-Check for gas leaks, electrical system damage, and water line damage.
-Watch for loose plaster, drywall, and ceilings that could fall.
Use battery-powered flashlights to inspect your home. Kerosene lanterns, torches, candles, and matches may tip over or ignite flammables inside.
-Get everyone out if your home is unsafe.
-Listen to the radio or television for updated emergency information and instructions. Keep yourself informed about the latest updates on earthquakes and aftershocks through reliable sources such as PHIVOLCS-DOST and disaster management agencies. Refrain from spreading fake news that can lead to unnecessary panic and confusion.
-Stay out of damaged buildings. If you are away from home, return only when authorities say it is safe.
-To prepare for a possible earthquake recurrence, ready your supply kit: food (e.g. biscuits), water, clothing, first aid supplies, a mobile phone, a whistle, and a flashlight with extra batteries.
