Independent Artist, Singer-Songwriter Music is my passion. It's been a huge part of my life since I was young.

It is also a way for me to express myself. More importantly, I think it's a way to speak to and for people. I believe songs help us make sense of the world and make us feel like we're not alone. So, it's a really powerful force and whether it’s a song about love, death, success or loss, we find support. I hope by sharing my music, someone can find the same comfort I did from listening to different artists - Carmina Topacio

Officially done with my internship hours! I’m so thankful for the training and experience. At Barcarse, I was assigned to conduct psych assessments and help create diagnostic impressions. At In Touch, I provided counseling services under supervision, treatment plans, helped with research, and co-facilitated mental health workshops. I also supported the Crisis Line for almost a year now, offering emotional support and su***de prevention to individuals in distress, with some who are facing anxiety, depression, other disorders, abuse, and trauma.

While this deepened my knowledge of psychopathology, it also taught me the essential lessons of patience and empathy. I discovered that for many, a kind and steady voice is what they need, and just by listening, we can already make a significant impact.

Coming from music, content creation, and sales, this was a new challenge. It showed me the importance of showing up, even on days I was struggling myself. The work can be emotionally demanding, but ending a session knowing someone has a little more hope is a heartwarming and powerful feeling. This experience made me stronger and I’m leaving with a renewed sense of purpose and a profound appreciation for the human capacity to endure and heal.
