Bato National High School has a proud legacy of producing students who have represented the institution in various competitions within and beyond Cebu. Upholding this tradition of excellence, this year's team of campus journalists and broadcasters underwent rigorous training under the guidance of their dedicated coaches.

A total of 14 writers, 2 cartoonists, 2 photojournalists, 2 technical directors, and 12 broadcasters from Bato NHS showcased their talents at the Division Schools Press Conference last Saturday, demonstrating their skills and commitment to journalistic excellence.

Bato National High School Kicks Off Intramurals 2024 with Energy and Excitement!

"𝙇𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣!"
Mafe Ponting, the school's principal, officially opened the Intramurals 2024 by delivering an inspiring message that highlighted the values of teamwork. With a warm smile, she then declared the sports events to be opened.

Bato National High School officially launched its highly anticipated Intramurals 2024 on October 18 at the school's covered court bringing students and faculty together for an event filled with sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Hosted by Ms. Maria Kristel Lebumfacil, the opening ceremony set an energetic tone, signaling the beginning of an unforgettable competition.

The opening program started with an inspiring speech from Mrs. Marjorie Catubig, who emphasized the true spirit of sports. Catubig encouraged students not only to give their best but also to build connections, treasure shared experiences, and enjoy every moment.
“𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜; 𝙞𝙩’𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙥𝙪𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙨, 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨,” she said, a reminder that these moments would resonate beyond the competition.

Following the opening remarks, Mr. Recolito Manegro led the presentation of colors for the six teams: the Blue Knights, Green Lancers, Orange Phoenix, Pink Panthers, Red Lions, and Yellow Vipers. Each team proudly displayed its colors and banners, radiating school pride and enthusiasm.

A thrilling highlight of the opening day was the flag-raising relay, where teams competed to see who could raise their flag the fastest. In a burst of energy, the Orange Phoenix claimed victory, sparking joyous cheers and celebration from their teammates and supporters.

Announcement: Radio Broadcasting Audition!

Are you passionate about radio broadcasting and eager to showcase your talent on air? We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our upcoming Radio Broadcasting Team!

Audition Details:

Roles Available:
2 Anchors (preferably one male and one female)
3 Reporters

Requirements:
Must be able to work as a team.
Strong communication and storytelling skills.
No prior experience is necessary, but enthusiasm is a must!
