The Cabatuan Municipal Advisory Group proudly participated in the 3rd District-Wide Summit on October 26, 2024, held at Janiuay National Comprehensive High School, Social Hall, Brgy. Damoong, Janiuay, Iloilo graced by Atty. JEROME L ASUGA, Regional Director, NAPOLCOM R6, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. The event had brought together the advisory groups from diverse sectors across the 3rd district of Iloilo Province and have forged collaborative strategies and innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing community growth and security. The summit was likewise attended by the local leaders and engaged community members which resulted to an in-depth discussions on urgent district-wide issues, including public safety and community development, bringing inspiration and actionable solutions for a brighter and more resilient future.

TWO INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED FOR VIOLATION OF RA 9165 IN BRGY GINES PATAG, CABATUAN, ILOILO

October 26, 2024: The personnel of Cabatuan Municipal Police Station, under the leadership of PCPT AILEEN M LACRITE, Officer-in-Charge, were conducting patrols and maintaining police presence in Barangay Gines Patag, Cabatuan, Iloilo, when they encountered two male individuals on a Kawasaki Barako motorcycle at a curved portion of the road. The police observed alias "Lando" taking a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, from his pocket and throwing it to the ground. The personnel promptly recovered the plastic sachet.

Additionally, from the actual possession and control of alias "Toto," the driver of the motorcycle, the officers recovered another heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, along with drug paraphernalia stored inside a steel container. Marking and inventory of the items were conducted at Brgy. Gines Patag, Cabatuan, Iloilo, in the presence of barangay officials.
