π’πžπ©ππžπ¦π›πžπ« πŸπŸ–, πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ“ - A traffic altercation in ParaΓ±aque City escalated into a stabbing incident on Thursday morning, leaving a traffic enforcer wounded and a 65-year-old jeepney driver under arrest by member of PNP Aviation Security Group assigned at AVSEU-NCR Cargo Police Station.

The confrontation unfolded in front of ParaΓ±aque National High School–Main along Dr. A. Santos Avenue, Barangay San Dionisio, when a traffic enforcer flagged down a passenger jeep for loading and unloading in a restricted area.

Instead of complying, the driver allegedly attempted to run over the enforcer. Moments later, he stepped out of his vehicle with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim once in his left abdomen.

While en route to his duty station at the Cargo Police Station, Pat Kris Harvey Salvador Agpaoa noticed the attack and immediately took control of the situation. Acting decisively, he disarmed the assailant, confiscated the weapon and placed the suspect under arrest before more harm could unfold.

Recovered from the suspect was one (1) kitchen knife measuring approximately eight inches, including the handle.

The victim is now receiving medical treatment at Ospital ng ParaΓ±aque I, where he remains under medical observation and for possible confinement, according to his attending physician.

Inquest proceedings for Frustrated Homicide are now underway against the suspect, currently under the custody of ParaΓ±aque City Police Station.

General Santos City- On September 16, 2025, a collaborative effort at General Santos International Airport led to the successful interception of an illegal wildlife shipment. PNP AVSEGROUP personnel, in a remarkable display of vigilance, flagged a suspicious cargo that was later confirmed to contain six boxes of live wild spiders. This critical discovery prevented the illicit transport of these creatures, which were destined for various locations across the country.

The operation began when a keen-eyed AVSEC screener raised the alarm about the unusually packaged items and alerted the General Santos International Airport Police Station. The timely report and subsequent coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) enabled a swift response. A joint inspection confirmed the presence of the spiders, which were promptly seized in accordance with Republic Act 9147, the Wildlife Resources Conservation and Protection Act.

The six boxes of wild spiders were set to be transported by the shipper from General Santos City to various courier hubs in Tarlac City, Tarlac; Lipa City, Batangas; Valenzuela City; Carmona City, Cavite; and Ibaan, Batangas. Following a manual inspection by the Support Staff of the Monitoring and Enforcement Section of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of General Santos City, a total of 278 wild spiders were counted.

The confiscated wild spiders are now under the custody of the CENRO-DENR 12 Office for proper disposition.

PBGen Jay R Cumigad, Director of the PNP AVSEGROUP, stated, "This incident reaffirms the PNP AVSEGROUP’s sustained vigilance against wildlife trafficking. Having intercepted similar cases before, we remain committed to intensifying our efforts and working closely with partner agencies to keep our airports free from illegal wildlife trade."
