โThe Upi Agricultural School (UAS), under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge Dr. Alimudin C. Belon, honored its five successful passers of the 2025 Licensure Examination for Agriculturists (LEA) through a testimonial program themed โHonoring Success, Celebrating Excellence.โ
โ
โThe event started with a motorcade featuring the LEA passers and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) students from the UAS campus, going to the Nuro Poblacion area, and going back to the campus for the program proper.
โ
โMaโam Rodith R. Udas, MSciEd, Head of the College Department, delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing that the challenges the passers encountered molded them into stronger, wiser, and more determined individuals. She described their success as the harvest of years of sleepless nights, silent prayers, and unspoken sacrifices. She further congratulated the passers for bringing honor not only to themselves and their families but also to the institution and to Philippine agriculture.
โ
โThe 2025 LEA passers Meriyen M. Kan and Norvie Jerson H. Solmerano from BSA Major in Crop Science, and Janille T. Cuenca, Annalou C. Magbanua, and Jannah A. Salik from BSA Major in Animal Science were formally presented by the School Registrar, Maโam Jessica M. Romuar. In her message, she expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the passers, their families, and the entire BSA and College Department community. She also encouraged students to draw inspiration from the achievement and remain focused on their dreams.
โ
โThe program also highlighted the heartfelt testimonies of the passers, who expressed their gratitude to the UAS administration, faculty members, families, and friends for their unwavering support throughout their academic and review journey. They shared the challenges they faced while preparing for the examination and encouraged BSA students to persevere, dream boldly, and study diligently despite the difficulties. This segment was followed by the awarding of certificates of recognition and tokens of appreciation.
โ
โIn the message of Dr. Belon, delivered by Mr. Melnovein J. Fulgencio, the passers were reminded that their success came from choosing discipline over comfort, focus over distraction, and purpose over doubt. He emphasized that the license is not merely a title but a responsibility, a reminder that they can complete what they have started and overcome future challenges in their profession, business, and personal lives.
โMaโam Bai Zuhiera S. Kanakan, MAEd, RGC, UAS Guidance Counselor, and Maโam Sumaya Y. Gunsi, BSA Instructor, likewise challenged the new registered agriculturists to never settle for comfort. They stressed the importance of continuous learning, listening to the experiences of farmers, and measuring success not by titles but by the positive impact they create in peopleโs lives. They also encouraged educators to produce not only board passers but competent and highly skilled professionals, and motivated students to aim high and develop practical skills.
โ
โIn her closing remarks, Maโam Nympha D. Sapan, PhD, emphasized three values the passers must carry forward: gratitude to their instructors, institution, and families; commitment to upholding values; and hope that as newly registered agriculturists, they will serve as catalysts for national transformation, particularly in the Bangsamoro region. She reminded them that passing the licensure examination is not the end of their journey but the beginning, and extended her warm congratulations to all five passers.
โ
โThe program concluded with a testimonial toast celebrating the triumph of the new Registered Agriculturists, followed by a photo opportunity with faculty members, staff, students, and the honorees.
