A Blessed Gathering of Fellowship and Shared Faith

The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) faculty and seminarians, gladly received the faculty and students of St. Johns Theological College ,
The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia for a day of learning, fellowship, and communion.

Their visit was blessed with meaningful interactions — from moments of reflection and prayer at the Martyrs' Chapel, to learning about creation care at the Eco-Justice Garden, interacting with theological resources and history in the Library and bonding and sharing stories at Kapehan ni Don Belong.

The tour ended in a simple yet spirit-filled lunch fellowship, reaffirming our common purpose in theological education, formartion and service to the Church and society.

The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) community, led by Rector The Very Rev. Dr. Eleuterio Revollido, warmly welcomed Alma Hult, Alice Weibull, Jennifer Söderberg, Jonna Christiansen, River Gunnersson, and Ola Larsson — participants of the IFI–Church of Sweden Youth Exchange Program.

On their first day, the participants joined a guided tour of the campus, exploring various seminary facilities including the academic buildings, chapel, and dormitories. They also took part in the community’s daily prayers, devotional movements, and the weekly choir practice — offering them a meaningful glimpse into the seminary’s vibrant worship life and academic community.

The youth exchange program, a partnership between the Iglesia Filipina Independiente and the Church of Sweden, aims to deepen mutual understanding, nurture faith formation, and strengthen solidarity among young people of both churches. Through shared experiences, the program fosters intercultural learning, ecumenical cooperation, and a collective commitment to faith-inspired service and social justice.

REMEMBERING | Commemorating the 19th Death Anniversary and Martyrdom of Obispo Maximo Alberto Ramento, "Bishop of the Poor, Peasants, and Workers"

Today, October 3, the Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) ,together with the Congregation of The Parish of the Divine Shepherd, commemorate the 19th Death Anniversary of the Former Obispo Maximo Alberto Ramento, the 9th Obispo Maximo of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente. A day where Obispo Alberto Ramento was Martyred in his Convent in Tarlac City, who gave his life for Justice and Peace.

Like Christ, Bishop Ramento stood with peasants, workers, and the marginalized, even when it meant facing threats and violence. On October 3, 2006, his faithful witness was sealed with his blood.

As a Church, the Life of OM Ramento reminds us that the mission of the church is not only for Worship and Devotions, but by living out the Christ’s Love, a Love that embraces the Poor, Justice that defends the oppressed, and Honesty that Speaks truth, and Faithfulness that remains steadfast to Christ’s call – to be a prophetic church, fearless in Proclaiming Justice, and Steadfast in walking with the Poor and Oppressed towards Hope and Freedom.

OM Ramento is known as the "Bishop of the Poor" that stood with peasants, workers, and the oppressed." May his life inspire us to live with love, act with Justice, and remain faithful to God’s mission of building a just and liberating community of faith.

(IFI Declaration of Faith & Articles of Religion #14)

Let There Be Light: ACTS Launches Creation-Caring Solar Power System

The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) has made a historic step toward ecological sustainability with the full switch to solar energy. A newly installed 30-kilowatt solar power system now supplies clean, renewable electricity across the seminary campus, which reduces both carbon emissions and operational costs while ensuring sustainable energy.

The milestone was celebrated today, September 5,2025, through a Thanksgiving Liturgy and Dedication Rite led by ACTS Rector, The Very Rev. Dr. Eleuterio J. Revollido. In his homily, he mentioned the importance of embodying the Church’s call to creation care. “This solar project is a concrete expression of our faith in action, a step toward ecological justice,” he said.

The initiative was made possible with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany (ELCNG).

Representatives from Sunfinity Philippines, the partner company that designed and installed the system, also joined the event. Managing Director Iris Ann Agustin-Capus, together with her team, provided an orientation to the seminary community on the use and impact of the new technology.

ACTS is also home to one of the Ecojustice Farm (EcoFarm) projects of the IFI, also supported by the ELCNG. EcoFarm seeks to raise a new generation of climate justice advocates through engagement in organic agriculture and biodiverse farming practices and environmental care.

Together with the solar initiative, ACTS strengthens its role as a model community of ecological stewardship, where spirituality, education, and action for creation unite.

By embracing solar energy and nurturing EcoFarm, ACTS integrates ecological justice into its institutional mission of theological formation. The seminary hopes that these initiatives will inspire other communities of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) and other faith-based institutions as well, to take concrete steps toward caring for God’s creation.

The project was made possible through the generous support of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Northern Germany (ELCNG).

With this solar initiative, ACTS not only powers its campus sustainably but also
strengthens its commitment to protecting God’s creation.

Commemorating and Continuing the Legacy of OM Aglipay"

85th Death Anniversary of 1st Obispo Máximo Gregorio Aglipay
September 1, 2025

Today, we honor the life and enduring legacy of Gregorio Aglipay, the first Obispo Maximo of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente—a revolutionary, a nationalist, and a faithful servant of God and the Filipino people.

In his homily, The Very Rev. Eleuterio Revollido, Rector of the Aglipay Central Theological Seminary(ACTS), reflected on three core values of the Aglipayan life and witness:
INTEGRITY – standing firm in truth and justice even amid adversity;
FAITHFULNESS – a steadfast commitment to God and service to the nation;
and IDENTITY – our calling as a Church rooted in patriotism, liberation, and compassion.

This sacred commemoration was graced by the vibrant presence of the congregation of the Parish of Divino Pastol, who joined in offering prayers and reverence to the memory of our beloved Obispo Maximo.

As we remember his death, we also renew our commitment to build a Church and society that reflect the very ideals he lived and died for—freedom, justice, and love for the people.
