(IFI Declaration of Faith & Articles of Religion #14)

Let There Be Light: ACTS Launches Creation-Caring Solar Power System

The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) has made a historic step toward ecological sustainability with the full switch to solar energy. A newly installed 30-kilowatt solar power system now supplies clean, renewable electricity across the seminary campus, which reduces both carbon emissions and operational costs while ensuring sustainable energy.

The milestone was celebrated today, September 5,2025, through a Thanksgiving Liturgy and Dedication Rite led by ACTS Rector, The Very Rev. Dr. Eleuterio J. Revollido. In his homily, he mentioned the importance of embodying the Church’s call to creation care. “This solar project is a concrete expression of our faith in action, a step toward ecological justice,” he said.

The initiative was made possible with the support of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany (ELCNG).

Representatives from Sunfinity Philippines, the partner company that designed and installed the system, also joined the event. Managing Director Iris Ann Agustin-Capus, together with her team, provided an orientation to the seminary community on the use and impact of the new technology.

ACTS is also home to one of the Ecojustice Farm (EcoFarm) projects of the IFI, also supported by the ELCNG. EcoFarm seeks to raise a new generation of climate justice advocates through engagement in organic agriculture and biodiverse farming practices and environmental care.

Together with the solar initiative, ACTS strengthens its role as a model community of ecological stewardship, where spirituality, education, and action for creation unite.

By embracing solar energy and nurturing EcoFarm, ACTS integrates ecological justice into its institutional mission of theological formation. The seminary hopes that these initiatives will inspire other communities of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente (IFI) and other faith-based institutions as well, to take concrete steps toward caring for God’s creation.

ACTS goes solar! The Aglipay Central Theological Seminary dedicates its new 30-kilowatt solar power system in a spirit of thanksgiving—living out the Christian faith through creation care and a deeper commitment to ecological justice.

The project was made possible through the generous support of the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Northern Germany (ELCNG).

With this solar initiative, ACTS not only powers its campus sustainably but also
strengthens its commitment to protecting God’s creation.

Commemorating and Continuing the Legacy of OM Aglipay"

85th Death Anniversary of 1st Obispo Máximo Gregorio Aglipay
September 1, 2025

Today, we honor the life and enduring legacy of Gregorio Aglipay, the first Obispo Maximo of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente—a revolutionary, a nationalist, and a faithful servant of God and the Filipino people.

In his homily, The Very Rev. Eleuterio Revollido, Rector of the Aglipay Central Theological Seminary(ACTS), reflected on three core values of the Aglipayan life and witness:
INTEGRITY – standing firm in truth and justice even amid adversity;
FAITHFULNESS – a steadfast commitment to God and service to the nation;
and IDENTITY – our calling as a Church rooted in patriotism, liberation, and compassion.

This sacred commemoration was graced by the vibrant presence of the congregation of the Parish of Divino Pastol, who joined in offering prayers and reverence to the memory of our beloved Obispo Maximo.

As we remember his death, we also renew our commitment to build a Church and society that reflect the very ideals he lived and died for—freedom, justice, and love for the people.

Last night, August 26,2025, our hearts were tied together more closely as we laughed, prayed, and shared the quiet courage of community.

Our Melanesian Brothers and their companions brought the place to life with tales of hope, acts of kindness, and the gentle courage that characterize their path. Amidst the warmth of shared faith and friendship, we remembered that real fellowship involves more than being together—it involves loving each other deeply."

Thank you for bringing your light into our midst. May the echoes of what we experienced find us all.

A Joyous Welcome to the Melanesian Brothers and Companions!

We extend our heartfelt greetings to the Melanesian Brothers and their companions as they join us here at Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS). Your presence is a profound testament to the global communion of believers united in Christ’s mission.

As we come together in faith and theological reflection, we are reminded of the richness of God’s creation and the diversity of spiritual traditions that deepen our collective understanding of the Gospel. This encounter is not merely a visit—it is an opportunity for mutual learning, dialogue, and the strengthening of our shared vocation in Christ.

During your time with us, we are delighted to offer you a guided tour around our seminary campus, including the historic chapel, academic facilities, theological library, formation spaces, and our gardens—each a living witness to our seminary’s commitment to holistic, contextual, and ecumenical theological education.

May this visit be an opportunity for spiritual enrichment, intercultural exchange, and the deepening of our bonds as members of the Body of Christ. We pray that your visit here at ACTS becomes a sacred memory of unity, understanding, and transformative growth in the Spirit

The Ecumenical Gathering and Jubilee Recollection for Local Government Officials, hosted by the Diocese of Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, brought together Municipal and City Mayors, Vice Mayors, representatives, and priests under the spirit of KIBIN — as a theme from Ilocano term "Holding hands" to work together in unity.

A symbol of the Church and Government journeying as one, serving one people, and working together for the common good and the welfare of all.
In behalf of Aglipay Central Theological Seminary (ACTS) together with the Parish of the Divine Shepherd, Diocese of Dagupan, we would like to thank the Roman Catholic Diocese of Urdaneta, especially Most Rev. Jacinto A. Jose, D.D., for recognizing the Iglesia Filipina Independiente as a partner in mission and evangelization proclaiming the Word of God in justice, peace, and love for the least, the last, and the lost, towards a more humane society, through the collaboration of Local and National Government.

The Church and State must work hand in hand with a one common goal, of the people, for the people, and by the people.
