The best President in the Philippine History. I Salute you Mr. PRESIDENT.
As a Filipino citizen, I will always admire former President Rodrigo Duterte’s courage in fighting illegal drugs.
Many people can criticize from afar, but only the families of law enforcers truly understand the danger, pressure, and sacrifices behind every operation.
Was everything perfect? No. But it also takes courage for a leader to confront a problem that many before him were afraid to fully address.
I admire Duterte not because he was flawless, but because he stood firm on what he believed would help the country, despite criticism, threats, and opposition.
One thing I cannot ignore now is how illegal drugs and criminality seem to be becoming rampant again. People can debate politics all day, but ordinary families are the ones who suffer when drugs slowly return to communities. We see the fear, the news, the victims, and the exhaustion of law enforcers trying to maintain peace and order.
That is why I understood Duterte’s strong stance against illegal drugs. Maybe his methods were controversial to some, but many Filipinos also felt safer during those years because criminals were afraid and authorities were empowered to act.
I am not saying everything was perfect. But as someone married to a police officer, I will always appreciate leaders who had the courage to confront criminality head-on instead of pretending the problem does not exist.
At the end of the day, we only want safe streets, peaceful communities, and a better future for our children.
I saw not just politics — I saw bravery, sacrifice, and a leader who gave confidence to those willing to serve and protect.💪👊
