Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Let us all be reminded that for Catholics, Halloweenβor All Hallows' Eveβis the start of the three-day observance of Allhallowtide, a period to remember and honor the dead. By focusing on this spiritual meaning, Catholics can celebrate Halloween in wholesome ways that avoid promoting evil or the occult
We as Catholics should avoid activities that glorify evil or the occult, and instead, celebrate with wholesome activities like dressing as saints, attending Mass, or praying for the departed.
Recommended activities, Dress as saints: Instead of costumes related to fear or the occult, dress as saints to teach children about them and share their stories.
Attend Mass: Participate in the Mass on November 1st and 2nd to honor the saints and the faithful departed.
May the Spirit of our Lord be upon us all!
