LOOK | While the Phil-IRI General Screening Test (GST) was being conducted yesterday, Mathematics and Science teachers also participated in a short orientation on the Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA), led by the schoolโ€™s Numeracy Coordinator, Ms. Delialyn Lumapas. Following the completion of the Phil-IRI GST at 3:00 PM, the RMA was administered to all learners from Grades 7 to 10.

These activities reflect the schoolโ€™s commitment to strengthening both literacy and numeracy skills through continuous assessment and targeted learner support.

IN PHOTOS | Cahigan NHS conducted the Phil-IRI Pretest in Oral Reading for both English and Filipino among learners from Grades 7 to 10, following the Child Protection Policy (CPP) and Anti-Bullying orientation this morning. This activity was based on the results of the Phil-IRI General Screening Test (GST) administered yesterday, which assessed learnersโ€™ reading comprehension and identified those who require further individualized testing.

The CNHS language teachers, led by the school's Phil-IRI Coordinator, Ms. Angelica M. Nolla, extend their heartfelt gratitude to all teachers who rendered support and assistance in the successful implementation of the said activities.

Celebrates its 11th Moving Up Ceremonies and 16th Recognition Day ๐ŸŽ“โœจ

Cahigan National High School honored its Junior High School completers in a formal Moving Up Ceremony on March 30, 2026, at the Barangay Cahigan Court, celebrating their transition to Senior High School as part of its 11th Moving Up Ceremonies and 16th Recognition Day.

A total of 44 students successfully met the requirements of the Kโ€“12 curriculum, with several learners receiving special awards for academic excellence, leadership, and extracurricular achievements.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Alfredo C. Devota, Principal IV of Cagnocot Elementary School, who confirmed the completers. Also present were Glennel P. Pacino , Teacher-In-Charge of Capiรฑahan Elementary School; Barangay Captain Camilo J. Oliverio; Rechel Corpiz, GPTA President; and Honorable Sabas Y. Daroy, education representative of Brgy. Cahigan. Their presence added significance to the celebration.

The keynote speaker, Patrolwoman Jessabel H. Rumol of the Philippine National Police (PNP), delivered an inspiring message, encouraging the completers to embrace the challenges of Senior High School. As she shared, โ€œDonโ€™t lose hope. If you have a dream, there is always a solution. Donโ€™t let your challenges ruin it. A true warrior knows how to fight and think before entering the battle.โ€

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of medals to academic awardees. Rechelle C. Aurora delivered the batch address, expressing heartfelt gratitude to teachers and parents for their unwavering support and resilience throughout the studentsโ€™ journey.

The ceremony concluded with a touching tribute as students surprised their parents and guardians with roses, hugs, and bouquets, symbolizing their deep appreciation for the sacrifices and love that guided them to this milestone.

Cahigan National High School successfully conducted its Career Day on March 6, 2026, at the Cahigan Covered Court starting at 8:00 AM. The activity aimed to inspire and guide students in exploring their future career paths.

Students confidently showcased their dream professions through a parade of careers, demonstrating creativity, determination, and enthusiasm as they presented themselves before the school community.

Part of the program was the campaign presentations of three participating schools:

โ€ข Villaba Institute of Technology, Inc. โ€“ headed by Mrs. Ida Pajaron, School President
โ€ข Corpiz College of Technology, Inc. โ€“ represented by Mr. Renante Juntilla
โ€ข Holy Child High School, Inc. โ€“ represented by Rosalinda B. Devota, OIC Principal

The participating schools introduced their respective institutions by presenting opportunities such as free tuition programs, available amenities, services offered, and scholarship grants that may support students in pursuing their chosen careers.

Certificates were awarded to students who best represented their chosen professions during the activity.

The school extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Anabel J. Latoy, T-III and School Guidance Advocate, for her leadership and dedication in organizing and ensuring the success of the activity. The success of the activity was made possible through the collective effort and cooperation of teachers and students.
