The Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University (ZPPSU) proudly held the Blessing and Turnover Ceremony of the Rubberized Oval Track Facility with Mini Grandstand (Phase 1) and Project SWISH (Safe Water Initiative Student Hydration) โ remarkable symbols of progress, collaboration, and the universityโs shared commitment to student wellness and sustainable development.
The event featured the official Message of Turnover from Engr. Ladeslao S. Darunday, General Owner of 3VC Zamboanga Construction, Inc., who expressed the companyโs dedication to contributing to ZPPSUโs continuous infrastructure advancement.
The ceremony was graced by the ZPPSU President, Dr. Nelson P. Cabral, together with the City Mayor, Hon. Khymer Adan Olaso including key university officials while special guests also joined the event, including representatives from SM City Mindpro:

Mr. Allen V. Macaso, Senior HR Manager
Mr. Arnel P. Manahan, Public Relations Manager
Engr. Rommel P. Bellen, Assistant Mall Manager
Representatives from Ateneo de Zamboanga University were also present:
Mr. Jeffrey O. Jalani, Vice President for Basic Education
Ms. Diane S. Candido, LPT, MA, Principal of Senior High School
Their presence emphasized the spirit of partnership and unity in promoting institutional growth and community engagement.
In his message, Dr. Cabral expressed his heartfelt gratitude to former Senator and now Secretary of the Department of Education, Hon. Juan Edgardo โSonnyโ Angara Jr., for his fullest support and funding for the track oval facility โ a significant contribution that made the projectโs completion possible.
The newly inaugurated facilities embody ZPPSUโs mission of fostering health, wellness, and sustainability within the campus. Both projects stand as testaments to the universityโs continuous pursuit of excellence, collaboration, and environmental responsibility.
Indeed, it was a day of milestones, shared vision, and progress toward a greener and greater ZPPSU!
