Backride Pinas - Zamboanga City Jingle Songwriting Contest Guidelines
Eligibility
Open to all Zamboangueño artists, songwriters, and musicians, whether solo or in a group.
Participants must submit an original jingle that reflects the theme of Backride Zamboanga and its services. Song Requirements
The jingle must be an original composition (lyrics and melody).
No adaptations of existing songs or pre-arranged music.
Lyrics may be written in Chavacano, Tagalog, English, or a mix of these languages.
Must include a catchy hook or line highlighting the business (e.g., safe and reliable motorcycle ride services). Length: 45 seconds to 1 minute only.
Acceptable genres: Rock, Alternative, Pop, Reggae, or EDM.
❌ Prohibited Words: Please do not use the term “Maxim, Grab, Foodpanda,Angkas ” in the lyrics.
Submission Guidelines
Submit lyrics in PDF or Word format.
Provide a short song description (3–5 sentences) explaining its meaning and inspiration.
Each entry must include the participant's name, contact details, and a valid ID.

Originality & Creativity (30%) – Fresh, unique composition and style.
Catchiness & Recall (25%) – Easy to remember and engaging.
Relevance to Backride Pinas (20%) – Lyrics must highlight the brand and its services.
Music & Lyrics Quality (15%) – Professional arrangement and well-crafted lyrics.
Overall Impact (5%) – Effectiveness in promoting the business.
Popular choice award (5%)
Contest Rules
Only one entry per participant or group.
Participants must own 100% rights to their work.
The winning jingle will become the official property of Backride Pinas, with proper credit to the creator. Plagiarism or copyright infringement leads to disqualification.
By joining, participants grant Backride Zamboanga the right to use their jingle for promotional purposes.
Prizes & Recognition
Grand Prize: ₱20,000 + contract for official jingle use
1 placer: ₱10,000 st
2 placer: ₱5,000 nd
Popular choice award - ₱2,000
8 finalists will perform live on October 10 at the [venue]
Participants are welcome to bring their own instruments or music materials.

Submission Deadline: September 30 -must be posted by 8AM and tag Backride Pinas - Zamboanga City

October 1 - 8: [3] performers per night = total of 24 participants. 1 winner per night
October 9 - Announcing of Popular choice award
