The first edition of the Peace Film Festival shall take place from November 30 to December 3, 2017 in Zamboanga City. It is organized by Zamboanga-Basilan Integrated Development Alliance, Inc., Peace Advocate Zamboanga, Hombrella Pictures, and Joint Task Force Zamboanga.

Peace Film Festival showcases the different stories and faces of peace. It aims to support and strengthen the vision in sustaining the journey for peace, exploring its different dimensions, expressions, forms through the cinematic medium.

The Festival is incorporated in the 20th year celebration of the Mindanao Week of Peace.

General Regulations and Guidelines

The call for submission is now open for the 1st edition of the Peace Film Festival.

1. The Festival presents a competitive and non-competitive sections.
2. Competition is open for Short Features. Narrative, Documentary, Animated and Experimental films are welcome. Films must be produced 3 years prior to the festival.
3. Deadline of entries for all sections is on Nov 24, 2017.
4. Premiere status is not a must.
5. Films not in English must have English subtitles except for those with no dialogue.
6. An entry once selected can never be withdrawn from the competition by the filmmaker.
7. Due to copyright laws, the music used in the digital entries must be original, licensed, or in the public domain.
8. Members of the Organizing Committee are disqualified from joining the competition.
9. Online screeners are encourages, but should you wish to send a dvd screener, please contact us at [email protected].
10. Submit entries (online screener and entry form) to [email protected]. Entry form can be found below. (Subject: Title of film, director’s name, running time).

ACFF: Chasing Euphoria, opening ceremonies on March 15, Wednesday, will start at exactly 5PM at the Carlos Dominguez Conference Hall (CDCH), Ateneo de Zamboanga University.
