Brent Hospital and Colleges Inc. (BHCI) College of Medical Technology marked Medical Technology Week 2025 with three days of spirited activities capped by the much-anticipated MT Night, showcasing talent, camaraderie, and recognition. Held from September 15โ17 at the Multi-Purpose Covered Court and culminating on September 19, the celebration carried the theme โThe Green Healthcare Revolution: Filipino Medical Technologists for a Sustainable Future.โ
The opening day, September 15, began with a mass led by Rev. Roda Sagwil and Rev. Jennelyn Binag, followed by the opening program and a message from Dean Ma. Erma P. Dormido, MSMT. Six teams โ Black Bull, Silver Eagle, Coral Peacock, Azure Deer, Crimson Lion, and Golden Dawn โ went head-to-head in mascot competitions, banner racing, bench yell, academic contests, and early rounds of sports, bringing the anime Black Clover theme to life.
On September 16, the energy carried over to the finals of volleyball in the morning, followed by the basketball finals in the afternoon. Students also joined the Amazing Race, which tested teamwork, wit, and stamina in a campus-wide challenge.
The third day, September 17, kept the festive spirit alive with a series of Pinoy Games that showcased camaraderie and playful competitiveness among the students. In the afternoon, the spotlight shifted to a combined program โ the Search for Mr. and Ms. MedTech 2025 and MedTech Got Talent. The dual showcase drew cheers as students displayed both elegance and artistry. Sofia Marie Tolentino (Level 1) and Zaffrukan Attari (Level 4) claimed the crowns, while talent acts ranging from music to creative performances brought a lively end to the competitions.
The festivities concluded on September 19 with MT Night 2025, an evening program filled with elegance and recognition. The program began with welcome remarks from Dean Dormido, followed by heartfelt testimonials from the MTLE 2025 board passers, who shared their journeys of perseverance and success. A congratulatory message from School Director Analyn V. Suenan, RN, RM, MN and a Presidential Address from Guest Speaker Dearen C. Dacuba inspired students with messages of vision, responsibility, and pride in the profession.
The evening also featured a graceful Cotillion performance by first-year students, the formal presentation of MedTech Society Officers, and the much-awaited awarding ceremony. The Silver Eagles were hailed as the Overall Champion, earning loud cheers from their peers. Special recognitions included Alnisar A. Yap as Face of the Night, adding to the eveningโs highlights.
Closing with the theme โDance the Night Away,โ the celebration underscored not only the talents of the students but also the unity of the department. For BHCIโs Medical Technology community, MedTech Week 2025 was more than a series of competitions โ it was a reaffirmation of academic excellence, camaraderie, and pride in the profession.
