Heartbreak Ends ICAS de Calarian’s CEAP Championship Title

The Immaculate Conception Archdiocesan School de Calarian Men’s Basketball Team saw their CEAP championship journey end in heartbreak after a crushing 53–54 loss to Ateneo de Zamboanga University in the finals.

The loss was even more painful for ICAS, who entered the game as the defending CEAP 2024 champions. Hopes of repeating history, and the team believed they could take on Ateneo once more. From the opening whistle, the game was intense, physical, and filled with emotion, testing not only skill but also patience and composure.

Throughout the match, ICAS fought through heavy contact and tense moments on the court. Every possession mattered, every point carried weight. Despite the pressure, ICAS stayed strong and kept the game within reach until the very end.

Champions or not, they left the court with pride, proving that some losses are heavier because of how much was given, despite that there will always be another year for the team to reclaim what was once theirs.
