P41.8 MILYONG HALAGA NG MGA IPINUSLIT NA SIGARILYO, NASAMSAM NG MGA OTORIDAD SA LOOB NG ISANG BUWANG OPERASYON SA ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA

Pumalo na sa P41.8 milyong halaga ng mga ipinuslit na sigarilyo ang nakumpiska ng mga otoridad sa loob ng isang buwang anti- smuggling operations sa Zamboanga Peninsula.

Batay sa ulat ng Police Regional Office 9, mula Setyembre 1-30, 2025, aabot na sa higit P41 milyong halaga ng kontrabando ang nasabat ng pulisya kasama ang ibang law enforcement agencies mula sa kabuuang 18 operasyon na ikinasa sa rehiyon.

P48-M INISYAL NA PONDO PARA SA PROYEKTONG TULAY SA MIDSALIP, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, IGINAWAD NG OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ADVISER ON PEACE, RECONCILIATION, AND UNITY (OPAPRU)

Iginawad ng Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU) ang P48-M tseke bilang inisyal na pondo para sa pagpapatayo ng proyektong tulay sa bayan ng Midsalip sa probinsya ng Zamboanga del Sur.

Personal na itinurn-over ni Presidential Peace Adviser Sec. Carlito Galvez, Jr. ang nasabing tseke kay Zamboanga del Sur Gov. Divina Grace Yu at Midsalip Municipal Mayor Elmer Soronio.

Ang nasabing proyekto na may tinatayang halaga na P60-M ay bilang tugon para masiguro ang kaligtasan ng mga mag-aaral na tinatahak ang mapanganib na ilog makapunta lang sa kanilang paaralan.

Pinondohan ito sa ilalim ng Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) Program ng naturang ahensya.

Alinsunod din ito sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., kung saan binigyang diin ng Pangulo sa kanyang 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) ang agarang pagpapatayo ng mga imprastraktura tulad na lamang sa bayan ng Midsalip.///

Ayon kay Melba Manalo, Bise Presidente ng Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, may provincial extension offices at regional offices ang kanilang ahensya na maaaring lapitan ng mga magsasaka para ma-insure ang mga ito.

Aniya katuwang nila ang Department of Agriculture sa pag-iikot para maabot at mabigyan ng serbisyo ang mga magsasaka't mangingisda na nasa malalayong komunidad.

Kung nakaseguro o insured aniya ang magsasaka o mangingisda sa PCIC, sa panahon na tinamaan ang kanilang mga pananim o alagang hayop ng kalamidad, maaari silang mag-file ng 'claim for indemnity' sa nasabing ahensya.

Ibinahagi ni Philippine Crop Insurance Corportation (PCIC) Vice President Melba Manalo na isa sa mga layunin ng kanilang tanggapan ay ang maprotektahan ang mga magsasaka at mangingisda laban sa paglugi dulot ng sakuna, peste at iba pa.

Sa ilalim ng RA 8175 ay mas pinalawak, pinalaki aniya ang kanilang pondo sa P2 bilyon upang mas marami pa mabigyan ng tinatawag na proteksyon ng PCIC.

Every grain of rice we eat represents the hard work of our rice farmers. "Thus, it is very important that we the LGU with the coordination of the Department of Agriculture and other key sectors should provide necessary assistance and intervention to our rice farmers," said Atty. Manz Edam C. Jover, Municipal Administrator during the 2nd leg of the Rice Information Caravan in the Municipality of Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on October 2, 2025, attended by 100 rice farmers.
On the other hand, APCO Jun Agad also emphasized the important role of rice farmers in ensuring high reach rice production in Labangan town. In addition to the high range of production it will address one of the primary goals of the rice program which is food security.
Participants of the event were given updates on various DA9 services and programs such as Rice Program, RSBSA, F2C2, PhilGAP, Balance Fertilization/Soil Tests, Pests and Diseases, and AMIA.
After the program, participants received Bio-control agents, Trichoderma harzianum, and various IEC materials.
