GUIMELCO will temporarily shut down its power supply for the replacement of damaged insulator of Disconnect Switch (DS) of Zaldivar Switchyard at Zaldivar, Buenavista and rerouting of 13.2kV Distribution Line due to DPWH road widening project at Salvacion, Buenavista.

In line with this, a SCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION will be implemented on August 2, 2025 (Saturday) to facilitate the activity as mentioned above from 7:00AM until 5:00PM which will affect the:

WHOLE PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS

Once the maintenance activity is done, power supply will be restored immediately. All our MEMBER-CONSUMER-OWNERS (MCOS) are advised to take precautionary measures and necessary preparations.

In line with this, an EMERGENCY POWER INTERRUPTION will be implemented on July 26, 2025 (Saturday) to facilitate the activity as mentioned above from 8:00AM until 12:00NN which will affect the following area:

We are currently experiencing UNSCHEDULED POWER INTERRUPTION affecting the WHOLE PROVINCE OF GUIMARAS due to disturbance in the grid operated by the NATIONAL GRID CORPORATION OF THE PHILIPPINES (NGCP).

As of 12:25NN, our Zaldivar and San Miguel substations are not receiving any power supply from NGCP.

We are reaching out with NGCP regarding the recurring unscheduled power interruption in TRANSMISSION.

Rest assured that we will restore our electric service once NGCP have completed their restoration activities.

In celebration of the National Electrification Awareness Month, GUIMELCO will be having its 𝟯𝗥𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢 𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗭 𝗕𝗘𝗘 with the theme: "Nurturing Minds, Powering Dreams".

The Quiz Bee Contest is open to all Secondary Schools in the Province of Guimaras. Only one participant per school is allowed and must secure a recommendation letter from the principal.

The participant may be a junior or senior high school currently enrolled in the school represented. Reviewers shall be provided upon successful and confirmed registration.
