OLASO TAKES ACTION ON WORKERS' SALARY CONCERNS| Mayor Khymer Monday afternoon, September 15, convenes payroll clerks from the city's 22 departments in response to mounting concerns over delayed salaries.

The meeting, held at the PIO press briefing room, focused discussions on immediate solutions to address the growing issue of salary delays faced by both casual and job order employees of the city government.

City Legal Officer Evangelina Doctolero and City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) representative Ramonelle Charmaine Faustino were present during the meeting to help shed light on the issue as well as to address concerns besetting payroll clerks in processing salaries.

Prior to the meeting, the mayor visited various offices involved in salary processing to identify the root causes of the delays, highlighting his commitment to ensuring timely wage disbursement.

Olaso also stressed the value of accountability and timely submissions, urging employees to submit their application for leaves and absences on time to prevent bottlenecks in payroll processing.

Moreover, the City Accountant’s Office is set to provide a detailed checklist of the required documents for wage processing to each office, enhancing coordination and eliminating unnecessary delays in salary disbursement.
