Officers in Slidell were searching for the gun used in a domestic violence case where a man opened fire on police.

The suspect told them, “You’ll never find it.”

But K-9 Max had other plans.

Max sniffed out the weapon, and the look on his face says it all.

He was so proud, grinning next to the gun like he knew exactly what he’d just done.

His handler, Officer Zach Colgan, was right there with him, and the Slidell Police Department gave him the praise he deserved: “Good boy Max!”

Honestly? That smile says it better than any words could.
